My new primary care physician asked me when I last had my eyes checked. I told her probably 4 - 5 years ago. She said at my age I needed to have them checked every year because I had cataract surgery before, and to make sure to check for glaucoma. In my first visit they discovered I had a cataract in my other eye and sent me to their main office in Carrollton. I met with Dr. Berry and he confirmed I had a cataract and needed surgery. He said I probably should have taken care of this a year or two earlier and this surgery would be a little more in depth. Although they concerned me, at first, Dr. Berry went into great detail of what to expect during the surgery, recovery process, and long term expectations. Dr. Berry was very informative and very helpful when treating my EKC conjunctivitis. He explained exactly what was going on with my eye, how long it would take to heal, and precautions I could take with a four-day-old newborn and three year old at home.
