I was in a car accident almost a year prior, in which my right knee was injured pretty badly. The x-rays from the time of the accident appeared "normal", but as time passed, the knee pain persisted, and it felt like a pebble was stuck behind my kneecap. I recently went and saw Dr. Kilbride at AOI, and he did another x-ray of that same knee, and he found what appears to be a bone fragment floating loosely in my knee. I spent the last year with horrible hip pain. I was in pain sitting, standing, laying, walking. I did 5 months of PT, a steroid injection but still my symptoms didn’t get better. I scheduled an appointment with Dr. Kilbride which was easy, I got to speak to a real person and was scheduled to see Dr. Kilbride within a week. I ended seeing his PA initially who assessed me and had me get an X-ray which indicated I needed an MRI (he was very thorough & awesome to work with). I had my MRI and was then scheduled with Dr. Kilbride the next week. I had a lot of fluid in my hip bursa and inflammation that needed to be removed. I have already had my procedure, it’s been three weeks. I had immediate relief, once I’m fully recovered, I believe that I can get back to the active lifestyle I had before this injury. I broke my upper arm in a bicycle accident a few months ago and Dr. Kilbride was my surgeon. He put my arm back together, which couldn'thave been easy since my 65 year old arm broke into multple pieces! He takes his profession seriously and he has been monitoring my progress closely. His staff are A+ as well, especially Jenny, his medical assistant who is amazingly responsive with my scheduling and medication needs. Everyone I've met at AOI are friendly, caring and competent. They seem to enjoy their work and are always upbeat. This is a sign of a well run organization that only comes from excellent management from the top down. Dr Kilbride is an Outstanding Orthopedic Surgeon. I know this from personal experience. I suffered a dislocated bimacular fracture to my left ankle . My fibula was shattered in pieces and my tibia was fractured at the base. My foot was 180 degrees out of position due to the accident. Dr. Kilbride reassembled my broken bones. He added a ss plate with 5 screws to support my fibula. He inserted 1 long screw in the broken tibia to hold it in position. He closed my surgical incisions where they healed completely. Follow up Physical Therapy has helped Me regain the use of My left foot. I would Highly Recommend Dr. Kilbride to anyone who would need His kind of Expertise. Thank You Dr. Kilbride.
