She is truly amazing at what she does and very compassionate with her patients! I’ve been in pain in my lower back for months. I just had my epideral steroid injection for the very first time today and I was extremely scared and nervous and she made me feel soo comfortable and reassuring. Went to her for lower back pain. She spent a lot of time with me, listening and asking cogent questions. She had a lot of great advice which included some non-traditional options like acupuncture, massage, chiropractor, etc. as well as self care strategies. I saw Dr. Mogana Ashar today for a pain in my back that had bothered me terribly for a few weeks and then had mysteriously stopped. She explained that it was likely a pinched nerve near the sacral bone and demonstrated on the skeleton nearby. Dr. Ashar asked how I had treated it and supported my use of acetaminophen and heat. After some general tests of movement and some getting to know each other physical and verbal exercises and a suggestion for physical therapy in the future, we agreed that she would see me again in about 3-4 months to check my level of back pain again. Old folks and back pain go together it seems--as I sit here hunched over my computer. I highly recommend Dr. Ashar because she listens and knows her business.Patient Submitted Review

Dr Ashar is great. She explains everything thoroughly prior to procedure, making sure you know what to expect. The procedure itself (injections for back pain in my case) is quick and she talks you through it to make you comfortable. If you have facet arthritis in your back, I recommend her for a consultation to weigh out your options. She recommends trying XYZ beforehand, and if those don't work, the next appointment is the procedure.
