Dr Richie was extremely patient with me. I was having to make a decision whether to have knee replacement surgery and I had my concerns and a lot of questions. Even though he was a busy man with other patients waiting, he pulled up a chair and said lets talk. He talked me through the whole process putting my mind at ease. Just want to say Dr.Richie to me is the best in the business. I injured my shoulder in two different places and with the great experience and expertise Dr. Richie got me back in tip top shape. I tore my Rotator cuff and after he performed his miracle working surgery with the patch in less than 90 days I’m back to full range of motion. No pain medication. Dr. Richie and his amazing staff treats you with kindness and respect. So considerate to anything you need. Make you feel like family, not just another patient. Doctor Richie has been my doctor since I was ten years old. I couldn't ask for a better doctor and surgeon. He has always helped my ankles heal from growth plate fractures and I recently tore my meniscus and had surgery to fix it! He did absolutely amazing and explained everything that was going on very well and did not stop until he was able to fix it. The healing has been very quick! He is also an amazing teacher and explains everything in a way that makes you feel optimistic about what is going on. Dr. Richie performed orthopedic surgery on my son. Upon entering the er we had to make a vital and rapid decision to undergo surgery. Upon making the decision to move forward with the surgery, Dr. Richie was very thorough, precise and transparent. Dr. Richie came highly recommended so we proceeded with the surgery. Dr. Ritchie was on call in the emergency room at Vanderbilt WC Hospital when I went in after a fall. He was needed for correctly reading a CT scan done on my hip and assessed it quickly. When I met him for an appointment to follow-up, he put me completely at ease and was very thorough in assessing the root cause of my pain. I went to dr. Ritchie in 2014 for knee surgery after a bad break, on right knee. I now have had no problems AT ALL with that knee. I went back a few days ago for my left knee. My son tore his labrum in his shoulder playing football. We were referred to Dr. Lucas Richie by the team trainer. We were able to get an appointment the next day. Dr. Richie was friendly and did a thorough exam. As an athlete, you want to return to the field as soon as possible, but safely. This is also Dr. Richie’s goal. He explained all of the options that we had in a way that we could easily understand. The surgery was successful and Dr. Richie explained everything that happened and what to expect going forward. The follow up appointments have been thorough and he takes the time to answer any question that you have. The office staff is also friendly and helpful. What can I say about Dr. Richie that would do him justice? There are no amount of words that can explain how amazing he is! I completely shattered my ankle in April and he was the doctor that was assigned to me in the emergency room. I thank God every day he was! He completely put my ankle back together and saved me from having to have another surgery. He has amazing bedside manner and genuinely cares about his patients. Dr. Richie did emergency surgery on my compound fractured ankle 8/07/2019. His expertise in orthopaedics along with his bedside manner is nothing less than phenomenal. Three months after the ankle had three broken bones, a bone protrusion, and torn ligaments it feels normal like nothing ever happened despite 12 screws and a plate. Lucas riche is outstanding! Takes time to explain everything to his patients and their families. My mom broke her hip in June and she was terrified. She is 83 and he did her surgery on it and she is in better shape than before the break. She later broke her wrist and sh said take me to Dr riche. Dr. Richie is an exceptionally skilled orthopedic surgeon and an extraordinarily kind person as well. I fractured my tibia & fibula 5 days before Christmas a few years ago. My 19 year old son had cut the tip of his left index finger at work with a utility knife. He had actually chipped the bone a little bit. Dr. Richie was his surgeon. I fell over a speed bump and shattered my knee cap into 8-10 pieces. Dr. Richie very skillfully wired around the patella and inserted 2 pins. After 4 months of intense physical therapy and a second surgery to remove the wire and pins, I am back to normal activity with no limp. The bone alignment was almost perfect.
