He was very thorough, he listened to your story. He was very thoughtful and gave options from minimal shot in the knee to full blown knee replacement if needed.
I opted for the shot first then rescheduled for 4 weeks as a follow up then proceed from there from how my recovery is going. And continue care til I am fully recovered.

He’s the Best. I have been a PT in Nashville for 20+ years and have been referring pts to Dr Richie with excellent outcomes. So when I tore my knee you better believe I’m trusting him to get me back to the soccer field.

Dr. Lucas B. Richie, M.D. is an American Board Certified Orthopaedic Surgeon who has been with Premier Orthopaedics and Sports Medicine which became Hughston Clinic Orthopaedics since 2014. Dr. Richie is originally from Dayton, Ohio. He graduated cum laude from Miami University in Oxford, Ohio. He then went onto complete his medical education at University of Cincinnati College of Medicine. Upon completing his graduate degree, he completed a five year orthopedic surgery residency training program with Michigan State University/Western Michigan University and spent the last year as Chief Resident. He was then fortunate to return home and complete an orthopedic sports medicine fellowship with Beacon Orthopaedics where he was able to pursue his passion for orthopedic sports medicine. This specialty training gave Dr. Richie to work with athletes of all ages and activity levels ranging from a state champion high school football team to the Cincinnati Reds of Major League Baseball.
Dr. Richie works as a general orthopedist with multiple locations around the Nashville area in order to best serve his patients. He takes great pride in helping patient return to the activities they love. He sees and treats all orthopedic conditions from traumatic injuries and fractures to back pain, hand conditions, foot and ankle, and sports medicine, and even including MAKO robotic assisted joint replacement. He has a special interest in minimally invasive arthroscopic surgical procedures of the shoulder and knee with cartilage and joint preservation/restoration. Dr. Richie also offers cutting edge techniques such as orthobiologics. Dr. Richie also serves as the official team physician for Mount Juliet High School and Cross Hit Baseball Academy. He enjoys being a part of the community and the excellent athletic programs.
In his life outside the clinic and the OR, he enjoys being with his wife Kristina and children, Parker, Preston and Piper. The Richie’s enjoy traveling, being outdoors, hiking, boating and sporting events.
