Dr. Watson and the staff at Hughston Clinic in Columbus were top notch. The Dr. that came in and numbed my daughter's leg from the knee down for the surgery was fantastic. I can't imagine the level of care being better anywhere else. It has not been 6 months yet but my 17 year old daughter has already thrown a complete 7 inning game this season. I have to start with Hughston Clinic in DOTHAN, AL. This is where I first met Dr. B. Collier Watson, who grabbed my respect and appreciation then. Dr. Watson has yet to not show ME respect as a human being in need, coming to him for help; and then, he addressed me as his patient in need of a certain kind of expertise. Dr. Watson performed a procedure on my right foot on 11/06/24 at Jack Hughston in Phenix City, AL. But my memorable experience started with his secretary Lisa, who always had time to help me. The receptionist upon my arrival at JH won me with her jovial/professional attitude. I mentioned that my daughter had flown me there in my Honda Pilot, introduced her as my pilot, and we had a great chat; the young man in registration, who took his time and make me know he's concerned with what that person on the other side of the desk is concerned about. And then, I went to the 2nd floor, a nurse came out and took me back where I was admitted. Things never got bad, everyone who came in contact with my chart was ever so caring and devoted to providing the best of their expertise wherever needed. My ONLY REGRET IS THAT I CANNOT CALL EACH BY NAME, but my chart can, and I sincerely pray that at SOME point they may read this expression of thanks, appreciation and love. Dr. Watson, I saw him at the Huston Clinic the day after I fractured my foot in five places! I had a very long wait in the ER the day before, Dr.Watson showed me my x-ray and explained that if I keep the boot on AND stay off of it, I should be fine(no surgery to re-set)! After 2 wks. I returned, got new x-rays, reviewed them. Everything still looks good, next he says I should be okay for a 'short' (more comfortable)boot. He seems very knowledgeable about all sorts of foot & ankle issues, speaks plain English! and doesn't beat around the bush with treatment! I had my right ankle peroneal tendon worked on by a previous surgeon (failed surgery). That surgeon did not correct the issue because my condition needed fibular groove deepening. Enter Dr. Watson to the rescue. As soon as I met Dr. Watson I knew that he was an ankle expert. I felt very confident putting my trust in his expertise. He is very warm and compassionate. I can tell that this nice nature is how he really is and not just a role he assumes at work. He corrected my right ankle. It has been about a year and the ankle performs without any looseness. By far one of the best dr experiences. First off I can’t say enough how amazing his staff is. After shattering my heel, I knew was a long road to recovery. And dealing with FMLA and Short Term Disability, I’ve never done. One of his staffers, Lisa, did everything for me to make sure all that was sent to assist me during my 4 month recovery. Every visit was quick and informative and ALL his staff was supportive and encouraging from the nurses to the girl who took my wrap off after surgery. I traveled from Florida to see Dr. Watson as I haven’t had the best luck with orthos in the past. I have a complicated orthopedic history along with a condition that most “good” doctors have never heard of! Dr. Watson was well aware of the syndrome and gave a clear diagnosis for the new problem I saw him for. Dr. Watson is a very professional caring Dr. I had birth defect problems with my foot. I had another surgeon operate to no avail. Still walked the way I had for 68 years. I prayed to find a Doctor that would fix my foot. When Dr. Watson walked in he smiled and his face was glowing I knew I had been lead to a doctor I needed. He fixed my foot very involved 4 hours.
