I began seeing Dr. Damien Richardson after rupturing my Achilles tendon last year. He offered an extremely balanced assessment of my options — to have surgery or proceed with non-operative recovery — and answered the many questions I had with patience and understanding. Dr. Richardson did an incredible job on the surgical repair of my bimalleolar break. After my break, he could fit me in for surgery right away even though I wasn’t a previous patient for him, and he was incredibly efficient but thorough in treating me and making sure I understood all the components of surgery and recovery. My experience with Dr. Richardson was top tier. I tore my Achilles October. thinking it was just a bad "sprain" I continued to "walk"/ hobble on it for 6 weeks before seeing Dr. Richardson. On the 7th week, I saw him and by the following week I was in surgery. He walked me thru the procedure, he made sure I understood and he was honest with me the entire time. The surgery went off with out any complications. He did excellent work. AND IM NOT JUST SAYING THAT. 6 months post surgery, i am able to do a "single leg calf raise" supporting my entire body. I'm a rugby player, so I've seen my share of good doctors and bad ones. I cannot say enough good things about the way Dr. Richardson handled my injury. When he told me what needed to be done, he was clear, friendly, concise, and extremely patient when I asked all of my questions.
