I fractured both bones in my ankle. Dr. Radnay performed surgery to repair them. To my surprise, I received a call from him personally the night before the surgery to make sure I was OK and then again the day following the surgery. The calls did not come from staff. They came from him. I was stunned. I’ve had ortho surgeries for sports injuries from other doctors and never experienced this level of personal concern. Dr Radney has been very thorough in his evaluation of my injury. He has explained the entire procedure to me in detail. I even unexpectedly received a call from him the night before surgery to check on me so I found that to be an awesome gesture. I was expecting a long wait since the waiting room was full. I watched the staff manage the flow of patients flawlessly . Thankful!! First time in months I've had comfort while walking and working. Also the first doctor to not just say 'it's because your heavy' ! I do need surgery but he did let me know that he wants me to be more active now and actually understood that with foot pain ya just can't always be active!! I've had high arches my whole life and now at age 68 they're 'falling'. I've been seeing a podiatrist to deal with the pain. After a year of injections and expensive orthotics, a surgery was recommended to cut, shorten and pin the bones of my toes.I made an appointment with Dr Radnay to get a second opinion. After reviewing the x-rays and checking my feet, Dr Radnay told me I didn't need surgery and that I had been wearing the wrong orthotics. I left the clinic with the correct orthotics and an appointment in 3 months to check my progress. He is with the best group and best hospital for orthopedics in the nation. Top 5% of all national orthopedic groups. He was the only one who knew that I am too young for a total knee replacement unlike two other lower ranked (World News Report) orthopedics. Nobody would want their ENTIRE knee replaced if it is possible to scope it. Dr. Radnay performed total ankle replacement on my right ankle one year ago. I live in Ponce Inlet, which is a 2 1/2 hour drive for me. After reading Dr. Radnay's profile at FOI website, I passed over all other foot surgeon specialists at Mayo Clinic, Jacksonville and Orlando. I am able to do all the activities I enjoy, without pain, like bike riding, long walks, using all the gym equipment available, and golfing that includes climbing out of steep sandtraps with no problem. I had the best possible experience with Dr. Radney. His bedside manner was incredibly comforting. He called (him, not a nurse) the night before my surgery and the day after my surgery to check in on me. He gave me a nerve block for maximum comfort following the procedure and the cocktail of medications was a perfect blend to minimize my pain without knocking me out. He also had an orthopedic boot for me that has help me get around without completely relying on my crutches (they hurt my armpits so much I wind up not moving at all). I give him and his staff 10/10. I have been seeing Dr Radnay for surgery and repair of a trimal ankle fracture. He has done a wonderful job and I now see why he is one of the highest rated ankle specialists in the area. For the last ten years I have been limping with severe pain in my right ankle for even short walks around my home. I had been told by an orthopedic surgeon that there was nothing that could be done for my ankle so i put up with the pain for years. At my first office visit with Dr. Radnay said he could fix my ankle. I was skeptical but also desperate for relief from the pain when walking. I had surgery with Dr. Radnay on June 3, 2023. The surgery was very extensive with six different incisions sites on my foot and also involved rerouting a tendon. My recovery was slow with a lot of time sitting with my foot elevated for healing. Dr. Radnay had predicted that recovery could take 6 months to a year. Today, six months after my surgery, I know that I will make a full recovery. I still have some pain initially when I start walking but the pain goes away after less than five minutes and I am pain free for the rest of my walk. I expect continued healing for the next several months will further reduce pain in the beginning of my walks. Being able to walk without pain is a great gift at this time of my life...I'm 78. I had surgery on my ankle 20 years ago and the surgery left me with more pain, and less mobility, than I had before. I tried R.I.C.E., using a walking cast and physical therapy. These only gave me short-term relief and the pain continued, and increased in intensity, so I went to Dr. Radnay for any other possible options. After a thorough examination, he gave me my options. I had extensive right foot reconstruction several years ago to fix torn ligaments, remove an auxiliary bone, and build an arch for my very flat foot in order to be able to walk again and avoid future pain and further injury to the foot. I chose Dr. Radnay after several opinions. He was clear, concise, and thorough in his explanation of why I was suffering severe pain and had a very specific surgical recommendation. It was a major operation, lasted 4 hours, and I was NWB for 3.5 months. The surgery went very well and his description of my road to recovery was spot on. I had full mobility and a natural gait after one year. Ten years later, my foot is perfect -- no pain, full range of motion, and I am able to do everything except play tennis. In the spring of 2018, I tripped going down a staircase and broke my tibia and fibula. Emergency surgery was performed to repair my ankle. 18 months after surgery, walking just a few blocks caused intolerable pain. My ankle was so swollen it looked deformed. At the urging of my primary care doctor, I scheduled an appointment with Dr. Radnay. I am so glad I did. I had all but given up any kind of physical activity and thought I'd have to live with the pain and swelling. Dr. Radnay was confident he could help me. He explained that he could remove the hardware and repair my ankle. I was beyond happy and scheduled the surgery immediately. My surgery was in December 2019 and I couldn't be happier. About a year ago I left the gym lifting heavy weights and started getting pain in my right ankle. I would drive to work or sit at my desk and it would burn so intensely it would cause me to literally choke. It was painful and hard to walk. I was referred by my primary care Doctor to see Doctor Radnay and it was the best thing I did. I walked into his office on Long Island and his staff was really friendly helpful. His office was busy, but prompt and friendly. I met Doctor Radnay who looked at my MRI and explained what needed to be done in a very reassuring way.Confident and knowledgeable answered my questions about corrective surgery. I was so nervous about Pain afterwards but he was reassuring that he would be able to elevate and manage the pain. I was given information about was was needed prior to surgery with a number if I had any questions. The day of the surgery I reported to St.Francis. I met Doctor Radnay at St . Francis Hospital and again he was very reassuring of the procedure. After the Procedure, I immediately did not feel the pain that I had before. I was told that a pain block was given and would last a day. Medications were prescribed and on hand if needed. I was surprised that I wasn't in pain after the procedure, just slight soreness but nothing like I felt Prior to surgery.The Doctor followed up with a phone call after I was home, to ask how I was feeling and if I had any questions or needed anything. I had prescriptions to help with pain but I didn't need them. 2 weeks later I visited his office and I'm now walking without any aids or boot. When I walked in (hobbled really) to Dr. Radnay's office I didn't know what to expect. My ankle was in bad shape and I didn't know what the long term progress would be. Dr. Radnay replaced my ankle a year ago. Two years prior I suffered an ankle fracture in 2 places from a tennis accident. To make a long story short, last year I could not walk without a cane. Now, I play golf 3 to 4 times a week, participate in exercise classes a few times a week, and can perform all daily activities without any pain. I've seen Dr. Radnay 3 times and the experience I've had with him and his staff is a very positive one. He is extremely knowledgable in his field of Orthopedics. He is a patient, compassionate, kind man and he takes time talking with you explaining any question or concern you have. He is an impectable dresser, very neat and organized. My husband and I ended up on crutches with two different issues but both foot/ankle issues. He called us at hoem to make sure that we were okay and after operating on my husband, he sat with me and discussed my progress and expectations for my husband. Dr. Radnay is an excellent surgeon who surgically relieved my foot pain and had me back running half marathons at personal best times within five months of the procedure. It was a amazing. I have been to a host of orthpedic doctors for problems with my feet and ankles, and although most have been quite competent, none have been doctors I really liked. Unlike the other orthopedists I've encountered, Dr. Radnay is a good deal more down-to-earth. He takes the time to carefully examine his patients' problems, tries to answer any and all questions they may have calmly and completely, and is pretty much the exact image of what a medical professional should be. Unlike most of the orthopedists I've been to, he doesn't seem to look down on his patients, nor does he brush off their concerns or their pain. In my dealings with him, he's been the nicest orthopedic surgeon I've ever met - and he's actually capable of smiling!Read more

Wonderful Dr. Always was chicken to get a gel shot in my knee n he was very confident it would feel better n it did! Don't trust Drs but him I would elect to do my knee surgery..very smart n explains everything!♥️
