This entire office runs like a well oiled machine! Dr.Adam Starr is a TOP NOTCH surgeon. My left pinkie finger was totally curled under and locked. I couldn’t even wear a glove. After Dr Starr operated, I have a totally straight finger! I now have a fully functional hand. I can not say enough good things about this surgeon. I will be returning to him in a couple of months for surgery on my right hand. I wouldn’t think of going anywhere else. AND, to top it all off, he has a great bedside manner. Dr. Starr is an amazing physician who suggested something nott require surgery &extra money in his pocket, but allowed me to keep movement in my finger &allowed me to play piano. That is a dr who goes way above&beyond what is necessary. Dr. Star was recommended by someone else who believed in him as a Christian. I will certainly get in contact with that friend and let him know he was spot on accurate. The reason for visit to Dr. Starr was abuse.by husband. My finger may never be straightened due to that abuse, but Dr. Starr provided the answer I needed to strengthen my crooked finger &.allow me to play piano. Husband trying to destroy my ability to play piano, because he was angry after my mother-in-law heard me play first time. Tony in desert storm &his mom told him not only that he should get me pisno but also his uncle would want to play guitar w me. That happened. Tony hated, was jjealous & tried to destroy ability. Having had my finger checked about a year ago by another doctor, there was no comparison. Adam was terrific with explaining what was taking place in my hand due to arthritis. Actually, I never had xrays done a year ago. So, right there is a difference. This is the second surgery that the wonderful Dr.Starr has done.Had carpal tunnel,you can't see the incision.Trouble with my right thumb arthritis he removed the bone. Wonderful very little pain. I'm 80 it's great I can start doing things myself.He's very soft spoken,but the biggest smileVery one in the office sweet and caring.Have been coming to Carolina Hand for a lot of years. Dr. Starr is amazing! The surgery he performed on my hand was the best/easiest surgery I have had to date. The sutures were beautifully done and I had minimal pain afterwards! I only took ibuprofen for the first two days after.. if you have any issues with your hand/hands, go see the best!

Dr.Starr has preformed trigger thumb surgery on both my hands and they are doing great!! Most doctors that I have been to before, always seem to be in a hurry to get in and out of the room. Dr.Starr will sit and listen to you and will even joke around with you!!! He makes you feel very comfortable and not so nervous! I cannot say enough about Dr. Adam Starr. Honestly, I had given up on a fix for my hands (2 completely different issues) after 3 less than successful surgeries. When I met Dr. Starr, I knew instantly that I was in good hands (yes, the pun was intended). I felt at ease and confident.
