Dr. Brislin was recommended by my PCP. I had to wait a few weeks for the appointment, as it was not an emergency situation. I've been having left knee pain for two years. I saw Dr. Brislin today as a post-op visit for my 2nd knee replacement. The first one was done about 10 weeks ago with great success, and this one is a bit more challenging, but still progressing. Dr. Brislin has also replaced both my shoulders, but lest you think he's knife happy, please know that in all instances he had me exhaust every other option first. I went to see Dr. Brislin for my 6 week evaluation after my left total knee replacement. He is always upbeat and pleasant to speak to. I have been a patient since 2015 and after 2 arthroscopic surgeries in 2 years and conservative treatment and physical therapy, the knee replacement was completed March 11th this year. Dr Brislin replaced both my shoulders in 2016 after many years of trying to avoid doing so by use of shots, exercise, and therapy. I have total range of motion and continue to work out at the gym with weights. For several years now my knees have been a problem as well, and again he is in no hurry to replace them. My appointment with Dr. Brislin was excellent. I saw him to get a second opinion on the necessity of a right reverse shoulder replacement. I am scheduled to have this surgery at LVHN on August 16. Have been a little skeptical of the necessity of this life changing procedure. I know that my rotator cuff tissue is torn beyond repair, but the pain level is mild.
