The office was very helpful & professional. The front desk accommodated my needs the best they could. The ladies in the back were so nice, I enjoyed talking to them & joking with them. Even at the end of my appointment another nurse checked on me and changed my bandage. This office is awesome. I will definitely tell anyone in this area to go see them. Thank you to every young lady that took care of me while I waited there.

Dr. O’Connell is an excellent surgeon who truly cares about his patients. He operated on my knee and shoulder. Because of Dr. O’Connell’s expertise when operating on my knee, I’m now able to walk, stand, and drive with no pain. After two years and two previous shoulder surgeries, Dr. O’Connell operated and fixed my frozen shoulder! Came in for knee problem. Dr. O'Connell was very personable and after looking at x-rays and checking motion etc. , he had some good things to say and a plan to follow to make things better. Well, I feel Relieved and ready to get better! So, got an MRI, and Dr. O"Connell dicussed with me what he felt I should do. So, he did an injection into my knee joint. It's been 3 months and I actually cannot believe how great I feel. No pain. I live on a small farm-and work the farm, work on my tractor and implements. No pain. The people that work at this office, including the doctor are all very amazing people. They’re very knowledgeable, kind and exceptionally efficient. I didn’t have to sit in the office and wait for two hours for someone to call me after looking at my arm, which is seriously broke we determined that I need surgery, he wasted no time in telling me every detail that I needed to know about the procedure. Was scheduled with Dr O’Connell, but was treated by Lea his NP. Could not be more pleased! Lea was great, staff was great and check in was easy and complete upon my arrival. X-rays were quick and she didn’t hurt me! Need more stars, 5 is not enough!Patient Submitted Review

Highly efficient practice. Started on time. Had x-rays, consultation, corticosteroid shot, follow-up x-rays, and follow-up consultation regarding additional x-rays within an hour of our scheduled appointment time. I fell from a ladder (about 25 feet) while at work. I had injuries to both legs. Dr. O'Connell repaired my right knee Miniscus, ACL, PCL and installed hardware for a break at knee. As you may expect, I have visited multiple Surgeons and Doctors. Dr O'Connell is by far the most attentive and informative. I came to Dr. O'Connell for a 2nd opinion for treatment of a ruptured right Achilles tendon. I held the opinion that surgery was inevitable & that I was looking at a long, hard rehab. Dr. O'Connell informed me of both surgical & non-surgical options, and strongly advised me against surgery. He could not have been more right. 5 months later I'm healing well & feeling much stronger. Dr. O'Connell and his team are top notch. He made sure he explained the entire process of my surgery and answered all of my questions. He is very knowledgable about what he does. I couldn't be more pleased with how my surgery went. I went from not being able to bend my knee due to hetrotopic ossification from a bad car accident, to bending the knee at a 80% bend in under a month after surgery. Right after my surgery his team kept checking in on me to see how things were going. Dr. O'Connell and his team truly care about their patients. I highly recommend him!! I appreciate all he and his staff have done for me. It has meant a world of difference in my quality of life and in my recovery from one of the worst experiences of my life. During 08/2021 Dr. O'Connell had to perform surgery on right quadriceps, a torn vastus intermedius and a partially torn rectus femoris that resulted from a bent knee, twisting motion, during a fall. Dr. O'Connell, surgical staff, nurses, assistants, and technicians, all of his staff, were attentive, courteous, prompt, and professional and answered all my questions and addressed my individual concerns. Dr. O'Connell and his staff were confident and reassuring which helped to ease my apprehensions. For me, the surgery was top notch and the scarring is minimal. There is 1 ½ more months of physical therapy and progress thus far has resulted in a 94% + recovery toward full use. I believe there will be a 98% to 100% recovery rate with full use once physical therapy is complete. I would highly recommend Dr. O'Connell and his team for knee surgery as I have had a very positive experience and outcome thus far.Patient Submitted Review

He was easy-going but also knowledgeable and confident about the issue and how to correct, timely with appointments, a great explainer in laymen's terms, and performed a surgery on my knee that got rid of pain that had bothered me for 10 years. I had an unexpected hip tear. After trying several options Dr.O’Connell and I decided surgery in my situation was the best option. Dr. O’Connell and his staff were phenomenal. I’ve had many surgeries but never allowed access to a nursing staff like this. Any concerns or questions were answered as if I was the only patient. Such a peace with this surgery/recovery. Dr. O’Connell is not just brilliant but easy to talk to. You feel heard. You can be honest with him and your concerns. He hears you. He not only shared the same joy In my recovery but he high fives me in fixing the problem and seeing me better than ever. This isn’t always normal with doctors but it is with my doctor. Dr. O'Connell was able to repair a tear in my meniscus. I found him to be very knowledgeable, approachable and genuinely care about me and my recovery. He remembered specific timeframes for a long boyscout hiking trip that I am going on and scheduled the surgery around that timeframe. My son tore his meniscus during football practice and needed surgery. Thanks to the school’s trainer, we were referred to Dr. O’Connell. We are so thankful for this referral. Dr. O’Connell was attentive, friendly, knowledgeable and trustworthy when dealing with us. He immediately put my son at ease before and after the surgery. As a parent I was super anxious about the surgery but after meeting with Dr. O’Connell and his staff, I was a little less anxious. Dr. O'Connell is an excellent ortho surgeon! He is exceptionally thorough with his patient education, as well as an attentive listener at the bedside. I have had a great outcome from my hip arthroscopy surgery that Dr. O'Connell performed. After struggling with the pain and limited activity caused by FAI for over a year, I can now say that I am pain free, progressing in PT, and will be back to my favorite activity of running very soon! I love Dr. O'Connell! I'm sad it took me almost a year after my injury to be directed to him, but I'm so thankful that I finally did. He's got a great bedside manner, he's very pleasant, and you never feel rushed. His staff is amazing too. He advocated for me to get the treatment that I needed (workman's comp) and I am forever greatful!
