Had a follow up appointment 7 years post surgery with Dr Hensley. He was not who performed my surgery, my surgeon retired. Dr Hensley understood and treated me as if he performed the surgery. I've been a patient of Dr Hensley since May 2024. He is absolutely the best! He takes his time with you, listens intently and cares in every way. He not only has a fantastic bed side manner, he's a fantastic surgeon! He fixed what another local foot Doctor messed up. Although, I have on going care due to the severity of the first foot surgery from the other Doctor, he is by far, the best in our area and I trust him 100%. I have had problems with my ankle for some time now. I was told I would eventually need an ankle fusion but was told I am too young for that so try to wait it out for a few years, was getting cortisone shots in my ankle every 3 months even after having ankle surgery to clean the osteoarthritis out and repair ligaments at the end of 2020 by my previous Dr who left the hospital I was seeing him at so I had to find a new Dr and that is when I came to Dr. Hensley. I told him that I was told I would eventually need a ankle fusion or replacement so we talked options and decided a replacement would be my best option. Dr. Hensley listened to my needs and wasn't concerned about my age. I am glad I made the decision to find a good foot doctor cause my feet have given me problems for a really long time. I had a very good pre-op with Dr. Hensley. He explained my upcoming surgery in full detail. This will be my fifth surgery on my right foot but this will be the first one with Dr. Hensley. Top notch dr. One of the best ones I've ever gone to, he has helped alot with the issues I had from a ruptured Achilles tendon, and the other problems associated with heal and big toe. He talks with you. Ask how you have been doing. I believe he generally cares about people and not just as a patient number. Highly recommend him to anyone that has feet/foot problems.
