Dr. Wright was very impressed with my progress and told me exactly what she expected next month, and how I was to do it. I love that about her. She straight to the point. I have no discernible scars from my rotator cuff surgery. I am proud of my progress.

Dr. Wright is amazing, great educator and was able to pin point the issue with the pain I have been experiencing for the last year. My main concern was that I wasnt injuring myself. Sad that I had to travel so far for a simple answer and someone that doesnt believe in just signing you up for injections or procedures if they are truly not needed. When i had my first appointment the office staff was friendly, getting me checked in right away and never waited more than 10 minutes. Connor always has a smile and a friendly greeting. Dr.Wright has a direct personality which give her the demeanor of lacking a friendly bedside manner but i had no issue. As i didn’t want surgery to start she provided other options which i greatly appreciated but in the end, surgery was needed. She answered all my questions leading up to the surgery, gave me a friendly smile and don’t worry right before and when i had the follow up appt, made sure i was clear and answered the couple questions i had. I am pleased after her evaluation of my shoulder found that surgery is not necessary at this point. Employees are very polite. Office was opened before time and the receptionist called me in immediately and offered Coffee which was available. X-ray technician demonstrated the position that I needed to be in and all I had to do was mimmic her. Doctor Wright went straight to the point and did not sugarcoat my condition. Dr Wright is the best orthopedic surgeon I've ever worked with. She is very knowledgeable, personable, and a great surgeon. I had a twist with a hip surgery that wasn't visible with the MRI, and she rolled with it - adjusting and fixing the labral tear a different way. Most good Doctors are hard to work with because they are arrogant or unfriendly. I enjoyed working with Dr Wright so much because she actually takes the time to ask questions, and talk to you. I saw an article regarding the Hughston Clinic and Dr. Wright. The article was regarding a lease invasive arthroscopic procedure on knees so I made an appointment and met with her. Unfortunately I did not qualify for the procedure. What impressed me is that she showed me on the X-rays and MRI that I brought with me the conditions that made it not worth trying. She also gave me alternative options to think about and get back to her with my decision. In other words she spent a great of amount of time explaining in detail her recommendations of recourses that I can choose. I am so grateful that I met Dr. Vonda Wright. After suffering for over a year with shoulder pain, she diagnosed a rotator cuff tear and some scar tissue and bone spurs in my shoulder. Dr. Wright did a great job operating on my shoulder (also the UCF Lake Nona Hospital is 5 Star) and she guided me thru recovery and physical therapy. 3 months later, I am pain free and back to a full range of motion in my shoulder. I have been a patient of Dr Wright’s for more than 15 years now and consider her one of the best physicians I’ve had. Dr Wright shows a genuine concern for me as a patient, always taking time to address my concerns. I have a degenerative connective tissue disorder, and I wouldn’t trust anyone else to operate on me. I have found her to be courteous, upbeat, motivating and generally concerned about me as a person, not just as another nameless , faceless patient. I've come across my share of arrogance with doctors both as a patient and in my career. I sensed none of that in Dr. Wright. Honestly, I'm perplexed by these reviews that portray Dr Wright as rude or uncaring. What she is is a doctor who cares about healthy living and she'll let you know about it in straight forward terms. For my money, that's what I want in a doctor. If I see a doctor, and I'm morbidly obese and that doctor tells me it's okay, I'd be looking for a new doctor. If you want a doctor to enable your unhealthy lifestyle, don't choose Dr. Wright. Reading some of these reviews, I'm not sure some of these people treated with the same Dr. Wright that I did. I 'm treating with her for a torn rotator cuff and I've found her to be personable, informative and concerned about my condition. I'm hoping to avoid surgery but if I need it, she's the one I would trust to do it. As for these comments about a poor bedside manner, my experience was the exact opposite.
