Dr. Wright did not listen or seek to understand me at all. She came in and looked at my gender and age and automatically blamed all my problems on perimenopause. She recommend I start taking Estradiol even though I told her I had just gotten all of my hormone levels tested by another doctor and I was ok with all of my levels. She interrupted me to tell me “I am an expert in perimenopausal women and I can tell for sure that you DO need to take it because you are losing estrogen”. She did not ask me about family history, just a blanket all women your age need to do this. She also recommend I cut all sugar and white carbs. When I mentioned that I have been dealing with eating disorders and that level of restriction isn’t good for me, she again just blew me off. I’ve spoken to several other women who had a similar experience in her office. She was highly recommended and so I was really disappointed to have this experience. She rushed through the visit and just didn’t listen.
