I am 47 and had been comfortable with my glasses my whole life; but the annoyances of wearing glasses while playing with my very energetic seven-year-old son brought me to ask Dr. Shriver about the Lasik procedure in which he specializes.<br><br>Dr. Shriver and his team recently performed Lasik on both of my formerly very, very myopic eyes. Literally hours after the completion of the surgery, my vision was better than 20/20 without glasses.<br><br>I am now looking forward to a very physically active and sporting life with my son and my friends. I am also an avid birder and can’t wait to get out into the field without any glasses to remove every time I bring the binoculars up to my eyes.<br><br>The procedure was smooth and easy from start to finish, surprisingly short.
