Dr. Weiss had operated on my Barton's Fracture a few years ago and placed a plate and screws that healed without complications. I saw him again after a sports injury with the same wrist. Here is the problem, here's what we need to do to resolve the problem and does it. Could not be happier. I will say I went to 3 other doctors with my problem before Dr. Weiss was recommended to me, and that was a waste of time and money. Dr Weiss recently fixed my second trigger finger. It was both painful and interfered with my daily activities. For my first trigger finger, I waited too long and put up with too much discomfort and disability and had multiple injections which did not work for long. This time, knowing that surgery would fix this once and for all, I opted for surgery sooner rather than later. I am less than two weeks post-op and Dr Weiss did a great job. Dr Weiss put my elbow back together within days of a catastrophic injury. I am a heavy jet pilot that obviously needs two arms to fly, and my left hand is my stick hand. After having a wrist injury that wasn’t improving after nearly 6 weeks of partial immobilization and limited use, I sought a second opinion from Dr. Weiss. Another doctor had said I only had a “soft tissue” injury which would need time to heal. Dr Weiss determined I had a fracture that was visible on both x-rays and a CT Scan and would require a minor surgical procedure to correct. I had the CMC joints in my thumbs injected . Having had this procedure performed previously by another physician, I anticipated a fair amount of pain once the lidocaine wore off. However, other than some minimal soreness at the injection sites, there was absolutely no pain. Also, I began to notice a difference in the level of chronic discomfort in my thumbs the next day. Oh. I first met Dr Weiss in 2005. He was referred by Lehigh Valley health network. He helped me to correct problems I had with my wrist. He was clear and concise in his plan, the procedure, and his care after the recovery. The care he gave, helped me to live a very normal, full life. Fast forward to 2019... I broke my radial ulna on the same arm during a fall. The plate and screws he had installed in 2005 seemed to suffer no damage. I was pleasantly surprised at the efficiency and professionalism of the staff/procedures at OAA. Dr. Weiss is such a skilled and intelligent surgeon. When I was 24 months I broke my 5th phalanx and it never healed correctly. This spring I begun having a lot of discomfort in my 5th metacarpal. As a result of a bicycle accident, I splintered a bone and tore ligament in my hand. Dr. Weiss was able to mend the bone using plates, screws, and a graft from my wrist and repair the torn ligament. Excellent, I went to Dr Weiss for a second opinion after breaking my wrist. He was very thorough in explaining my X-rays and MRI, and what my options were. He performed surgery to repair my wrist, He put a plate to reset the bone, reattached ligament and carpel tunnel. I am amazed at how small the scars are with the amount of work that was done.
