I had a new issue with my left eye. I was seeing flashes of light in addition to some other symptoms. I went to my optometrist who recommended that I see a specialist and referred me to LIVR. I called to make an appointment and spoke with Yessi. She was so professional and caring and was able to make an appointment for me the very next day with Dr. Jessica Lee in the Westbury office. She told me everything that I needed to bring and what to expect. When I arrived, Alisha, the receptionist at the front desk, greeted me with a beautiful smile and welcomed me to the practice as I was a new patient. Who does this these days?! She was caring and kind and made me feel very comfortable. Aesthetically, the office is beautiful and immaculately clean. I was immediately taken in and the examinations were done in a very coordinated fashion. Jennifer, Mike and Sherry were extremely professional and efficient. Once those exams were completed, I met Dr. Lee. She explained what the process would be and provided a thorough exam. It was noted that I had a small tear which she was able to laser. I felt completely confident in her abilities. The entire process was seamless up to and including when I checked out and made my follow up appointment. As a nurse of 38 years, I was super impressed with every aspect of my visit. It’s been quite some time since I experienced anything even close to this. Dr. Lee is amazing! I had a detached retina and needed emergency surgery. Dr. Lee is professional, understsnding, patient and caring....the best bedside manner. I was incredibly nervous, which she reassured me was normal. After all, it's your eyesight. My experience was above and beyond my expectations. The team at the Syosset Hospital was the greatest. From the security guard, all the way to the operating room. Everyone made me feel so safe and comfortable. The hospital is spotless which is especially important during covid. I have been going to this office for many years. Called because I had a change in vision and was given an appointment with Dr. Lee. I had never seen her before, but was happy to get such a quick appointment. Dr. Lee was fantastic. It turns out I had a slight problem with my retina and needed a shot in the eye (something I never had done before). They did it right then and there, didn't have to go back to have it done. I had macula hole in my retina and could see distorted images from my left eye. I thought that I would go blind. With Dr. Lee’s care, I am able to see and my hole is healed.
