Was referred to Dr Thompson by a friend who had his knee replacement by John. The front office staff and assistants are all very receptive and made my 1st visit effortless. Was not kept waiting and I feel that's the norm of this office. He asked all the right questions of me and explained everything in a fashion that made me at ease. I’ve had a great experience with Dr. Thompson and his PA ,Suzanne. The entire staff are very nice and professional. Dr. Thompson is very concerned and helpful along the healing process and therapy journey. His PA, Suzanne is wonderful during the follow-up appointments, making sure the patient is recovering and remaining as pain-free as possible. I know all patients have this fantastic experience because my 89 year old mother went through the same procedure as myself! We both needed left and right hips replaced within one year! I fractured my wrist while visiting the area and was referred to Dr. Thompson by Cape Coral ED. I was super happy when he saw me 2 days later and explained the surgery needed to stabilize the break, which was scheduled the following Monday at Cape Coral Surgery Center. The care I have received to date has been excellent and all staff members have been caring, kind and professional. Outstanding surgeon. Very friendly and personable. I had a total left hip replacement and was walking right after waking up from the surgery, and was released to go home after about 7 hours. Literally no pain after the surgery. Some occasional discomfort for about a week and a half, but had pain prescriptions to take as needed. After 2 weeks, just Tylenol as needed. I may be an outlier, but I was 95 percent back to normal activities and working outdoors after 2 weeks from having the replacement. I suffered for 2 years of pain thinking it was sciatica, but it was arthritis with a partially flattened ball joint bone on bone. I wish I had it done sooner now knowing it was such an easy procedure and fast recovery, and I'm 66 yrs old. If for any reason I ever need my right hip replaced, I'll definitely have Dr John Thompson do it.Patient Submitted Review

I had a total knee replacement 4 1/2 months ago. You really don't know how much you needed this done until you do. After the first week, I could feel the difference. Then every couple of days, I could see & feel my improvements. So much now, I can not wait for my other knee replacement. My quality of life has improved so much that after my second knee surgery, I intend to join a workout gym, but most importantly, I look forward to being able to walk in the sand & enjoy my new found health. My experience with Dr. Thompson was excellent. After a thorough examination, he confirmed my need for hip replacement. Dr. Thompson explained the robotic surgery procedure and recovery clearly. Needed a hip replacement, did a little research and found Dr. Thompson. Office staff from the first visit was friendly, efficient and professional. Dr. Thompson talked about surgery, set up a date, had his staff do all the required paper and prep work and the hip replacement at Cape Coral Hospital was excellent. Home and office physical therapy was excellent, and any questions or concerns were addressed promptly. I was told by Dr. Fuller that I needed a knee replacement. I went for 2nd opinion and so happy I did. Dr. Thompson said just meniscus surgery for now. It was a great experience from front desk to xray to Dr. Thompson and then Cape Coral Hospital pre and post op surgery. My mom had severe back pain after agitating an old disc injury, and Dr. Thompson not only got her in the office quickly, he spent a while with her to listen to the issue and develop a good course of action. Dr. Thompson is always very attentive. Gives you time to speak, listens very well and explains everything clearly. He changed offices, so instead of talking a different doctor I searched for his new location. It’s hard to find an experienced doctor with such concern for his patients!
