Dr Deramo spoke in a way that interfaced Patient -to- Dr. relationship and his staff is experienced and excellent. My Mom was refered to him from a family member. He listens very well. He was then able to make an assessment and provide ways to treat her in a comfortable manner. My Mom was afraid, & angry going in but after Dr Deramo's treatment and advice she was comfortable, happy and learned more about her condition; and at her age of 83 that's impressive. AI technology can't do all of this. I wish the medical industry would reconsider human intervention, adopt doctors' advice and teach patients what they're medically going through. Kudos to Dr Deramo! Seven years ago, Dr. Deramo performed a vitrectomy & repair of a macular hole in the retina of my left eye. This tear left me unable to see in that eye. My recovery was complete. To me this felt like a miracle but in truth it was due to Dr. Deramo's expert surgical skills. This tear in the most sensitive area of vision happened suddenly leaving me with little sight in that eye. Dr. Deramo & his team were professional & caring throughout the surgery and the recovery period taking the time to explain to me what was happening and the course of treatment. I think he's very nice, but most important, he did surgery in peeling off a retina web (I have partial hole), and in doing so, took out the biggest floater a person could have. I was so happy! Staff is fine too.Read more
