I needed a spur of the moment eye appointment today because of eye pain. My regular doctor wasn’t available so I was assigned to Dr. Dworak. He was bright, personable, and best of all, he seemed really happy to see me!. He diagnosed my problem quickly and prescribed something to fix it. He told me what to expect and exactly how to defeat my pain. It’s odd to say that I enjoyed an eye appointment for pain, but I did!

I could tell he was wishing he could do something else to make my recovery faster but kept coming back to what he felt is the safest process to ensure the best outcome. Several years before my eyelid surgery, my husband had eyelid surgery. And when I saw the quality of the surgeon's work, I made a mental note that if I needed surgery, I wanted the same surgeon my husband had, and that was Dr. Dworak. Dr. Dworak did both of my eyelids, as well as the area above one of my eyebrows which was sagging. Both he and his office checked in with me after my surgery. Dr Dworak is attentive and concerned about his patients. I am eternally grateful for his assessment of my symptoms. He correctly diagnosed my Giant Cell Arteris when other physicians did not, and personally contacted my Primary Care Physician who also said I had all the symptoms for GCA, to agree on a course of action (biopsy) and treatment with a rheumatologist, which probably saved my eyesight. He's incredibly thorough and talks intelligently to me, not down to me. He said if you have time, I can do this right now, so you don't have to drive that far back.
