He minimized my concerns about the status of my current vision. He appeared impatient and in a hurry. I felt dismissed and disrespected. I have never ever been so upset with any doctor in my life. I do not know what his problem was but it really had a profround effect on me not only physically but emotionally. I couldn't possibly recommend this doctor to anyone based on the way he behaved toward me.

I felt like he had one foot ready to get out the door during the entire visit. He spoke too quickly, and when I asked him to slow down and explain to me again what his plan was he appeared impatient with me and did not explain. He did actually examine my eye, but most of the time he was standing near the door, talking to his assistant. I had to call him back later that same day, because I was not sure which medication I should be using in my eyes - it has been 26 hours and I have still not heard back from him. I would prefer a different MD, should I return to your clinic.

Dr Dworak is attentive and concerned about his patients. I am eternally grateful for his assessment of my symptoms. He correctly diagnosed my Giant Cell Arteris when other physicians did not, and personally contacted my Primary Care Physician who also said I had all the symptoms for GCA, to agree on a course of action (biopsy) and treatment with a rheumatologist, which probably saved my eyesight. He's incredibly thorough and talks intelligently to me, not down to me. It's a gift to be considerate of your patients and he exhibits this strength since he wants me to come back periodically to monitor my eye scans.

I spent 2 hours at this St. Paul Eye Clinic, only to be seen by this guy for merely 3-4 minutes, during which time he was gruff and not very attentive to my wurstions or comments (which I felt I needed to rush through, given his demeanor). I was also tricked into getting the drops to dilute my eyes. I had no driver, and it was a snowy day with dangerous roads. I will never use this doctor or this eye clinic again.

Dr. Dworak rushed through my exam and began leaving the room before asking me if I had any questions. He turned back in when I said I had questions. He seemed very rushed to leave the room and answered in few words and seemed disinterested in my concerns about my eyes. He is the fourth MD I have seen at the practice over the years and I have gotten four different diagnoses for my eye problems. I hoped that he'd be able to square all these opinions up and make sense of them, but he not seem open to any further conversation. I was very disappointed with my visit and walked away feeling like he didn't care at all about my concerns or my eyes.

The attendant who saw me before Douglas was excellent however, immediately when Douglas walked in I could tell he just wanted to rush me out of the office. I specified the reason for my visit on the phone and with the attendant but he seemed very unaware. In addition, when explaining the reason for my visit my concerns were diminished into an over generalization. I had to spend 10 mins convincing him that my issue wasn’t just happen stance. I’m very sad because I was looking forward to my visit and getting down to the issue. I’m still left the same way I walked in. As a Black woman, it’s the same old same. I won’t be returning and I’m letting other folks of color know this is not the place for empathetic and thorough care.

I have never had as rotten a drs appt as this one.This is the worst experience I have had at a drs office. His attitude was 1) move you through as fast as possible and 2) I should be grateful that I got as wonderful a dr as him. I am not impressed that he went to medical school. He obviously missed the patient interaction class. He pushed on my eye without explaining what he was doing, and rather than offer options for treatment he said he would provide medication, then said if it doesn't work, to call and come in again, no explanation of what better looks like or how long I should wait to see results from the medication. He also said as he was leaving that this medication may or may not work. What the heck?! I picked up the medication, but have not used it because I don't know what he was diagnosing.

I always enjoy seeing Dr. Dworak. He is an expert in his field and displays expertise with exams. Refreshing to have a physician who knows me as an individual, which enhances the care he provides.

Dr. Dworak listened to me and took my input seriously in deciding a treatment plan. I had visited another clinic three times previously and been treated as though I didn't know what I was taking about. Dr. Dworak acted on my symptoms and ultimately his treatment plan was what finally worked.

Doug was great and answered all my questions thoroughly. I found the optical assistant or woman who performed my initial exam to be terse, impatient and slightly combative. Her demeanor made answering sensitive questions about my medication incredibly uncomfortable! She lacked customer service etiquette and professionalism in my opinion.

I had an appt with Dr. Dworak, but upon meeting him, his first question was 'why are you here today?' I came upon the recommendation of Dr. Ala Kelly, whose services I have great respect for, but Dr. Dworak had clearly not prepared for my scheduled visit with him. He needed to look up the results of my tests while he consulted with me. He had clearly not prepared in advance. In addition, he said nothing about the tests I'd been given minutes earlier or what results I had on those tests. He seemed in a huge hurry, no time to discuss. This is not the kind of service I've received from this clinic before.

Very nice and answered all of my questions. I left with a couple of different options if I choose to do so.

Had a cyst removed from my eyelid. He explained everything he was doing. Quick, easy and painless.

Dr. Dwoark was so thorough and reassuring. Did a biopsy on my lower eye lid which turned out to be Basil cell Carcinoma. Referred me for a Mose which will be done November 17

Dr. Douglas Dworak was recommended by my ophthalmologist, Dr. Scott Uttley. Dr. Dworak was knowledgeable about the possible diagnoses and procedures involved. He explained the treatment options thoroughly and proceeded with care, explaining each step as he went along. His clinical staff people were also first-rate. I wish I could remember the name of the staff member who assisted on the procedures. She demonstrated a high level of knowledge, as well.

Dr. Dworak could not have been better. He gave me complete confidence in the procedure and I marveled at the results. I expected to be swollen and bruised for a couple weeks and it was only a few days. He has been patient and responsive to all my questions, despite what I am sure is a very busy schedule.

Rushed through, seemed to diagnose ne with a sort of pink eye. Which it was actually a real small bump on eyeball. Did not listen, seemed to get agitated. Even nurse stated see saw it on eyeball. Also stated he would call in prescription and when I went to pharmacy they stated nothing was sent in.

The most comprehensive eye exam I have had . Dr. Dvorak noticed a small tear in my retina and scheduled a minor laser procedure with a specialist the following day — preventing what may have led to a detached retina (and full-blown surgery!). I’m grateful to have found him and the friendly staff at St. Paul Eye Clinic.
