I had shoulder surgery(torn rotator cuff) and I was very scared that I wouldn't recover fully based on other horror stories I've heard but its been 5 months and I have no more pain and my recovery process is awesome. My scars(4) aren't even visible! If anyone has hand or shoulder issues I recommend Dr Starr because he's the best in the business.

I have seen Dr. Starr a few times over the last several years for a reoccurrence of ‘trigger finger.’ Each time he has done a fantastic job! This last time I had about a 40 degree bend in the pinky, ten degree in the middle, and his surgery made both completely straight. There is nothing negative to say about this facility or staff. The care I’ve received has been thorough and excellent with the objective to make me stronger. I was not able to lift my arm prior to surgery and was unable to sleep with the pain. Symptoms have been alleviated and with physical therapy that is provided within the facility, my motion is improving, the pain is gone and they are increasing my strengthening program. I’ve met with Dr. Starr several times, including yesterday, 10/27, as he has treated the fracture of my right pinky finger. Through a process of x-rays, wearing a splint for about 5 weeks, and Dr. Starr’s manual examinations, my finger has healed considerably, although it is not yet completely healed as he said. A few more weeks of healing are needed. I went to Dr. Starr with an injury to a finger. It was mallet finger and a chipped bone in my right ring finger. From everything I read online from people who had this same injury, my expectations weren't high to have a straight finger after treatment. With his knowledge and the help of a fantastic therapist (Ariana Madrid), two months later, you wouldn't know the damage I had caused either medically or cosmetically. Best Doctor Ever!!!!! I cut my thumb off during my move to Atlanta. My 7/14/21 day follow up was with another hand specialists in the area- he couldn’t give me any advise or feedback on my thumb other than to wait or take another half inch of my thumb off to my knuckle. I already lost half an inch, I wanted to keep what I have left. So, due to frustration, I went to get a second option. Dr.Starr is amazing!!!! He was kind, gentle, but most importantly he knew his stuff. At first glance, he came up with a plan and gave me feedback and advice on what to do in order to keep my thumb, well what’s left of it anyway. I did have to get a second surgery, done by dr.starr and that went well and healed. I have probably seen dr. Starr about 10+ times and each and every time it was been good. I highly recommend him.
