I have been more than pleased that I was referred to Dr. Nothnagel with my retina issue. He was very thorough in explaining what was going on, the steps to correct it and the healing process. He found another issue while treating the retina and has been monitoring that as well. At my last check up even Dr. Nothnagel was surprised how well my vision is. I am beyond happy as you only have one pair of eyes!

After discussing why my eye was seeing wavy lines and how it could be fixed I was certain I was in excellent hands. Dr Nothnagel is the best doctor I have encountered. I I have seen many doctors over the years Dr Nothnagel is my 'gold standard'. The first time I needed him for a detached retina he personally called me at the intermission of his daughters recital. After telling him my symptoms he told me to be in the office first thing in the morning. In 2005 he performed three retina surgeries on my eyes. He is "meticulous" about everything he does from start to finish. It is my belief that he is the instrument God used to preserve my eye site (20/20 now). Yes, I had appointments with extended wait times. I don't see it as overscheduling, I see it as his compassion , an inability to turn anyone away. In my opinion Dr Nothnagel is THE ABSOLUTE BEST!
