Two bad I can’t give SIX STARS. Dr Barnett (and his entire Staff at Carolina Hand and Sports) is/are absolutely top notch. Dr Barnett is excellent in every regard by especially in medical competence, bedside manner, and ability to explain exactly what your issue is, what he can do to address it, and what to expect post-op.

Very patient oriented and so friendly. He explained everything that was going to take place during my upcoming surgery. Even better than that, he showed me my x-rays while he was talking to me. The office staff was very polite. The office itself with check-in waiting room and seeing the doctor was extremely organized. It reminded me of the Cleveland clinic. Dr. Barnett took plenty of time with us to explain the procedure which was a partial knee replacement. The billing office was very transparent with the charges and allowed us a nice discount because we were cash paying customers Since we use Samaritan ministries Who will reimburse us for the charges. I had suffered with severe knee pain from a car accident and arthritis for several years. I had fears of surgery at age 76, so I put it off until it was very painful and difficult to walk. Dr. Barnett was very kind and patient with me, he explained everything to me and he did my knee replacement surgery in mid August, 2023. I was up and walking well within two weeks and I am doing great now. The scar is hardly noticable. In my opinion Dr. Barnett is the best of the best. I'm so thankful that he did my surgery. Dr Barnett replaced my knee in 2017. He literally saved my life. I had my left knee replaced in 2014. It was a hard recovery. When I needed right knee replaced he said unless I lost weight he could not operate. It was too dangerous. He sent me to Mission Weight and I had weight loss surgery in February 2017. I lost 186 pounds and he did my knee replacement December 2017. I was up and moving within a day. I’m so thankful for everything he did for me.rater8 Verified Patient

I highly recommend Dr. Barnett. I moved here to Asheville 3 yrs ago. I was thankful a MD made the referral and he had the honors of performing my hip replacement and did a marvelous, clean and remarkable surgery. I was amazed as to how well I recovered because he tells you exactly what you need to do and I did it gracefully because he’s very knowledgeable.I’m thankful I was out in the best of hands. I had a total R hip replacement. I was back playing tennis after 7 weeks. Five months after THR I went skiing for 4 days in Utah. No problems at all. Dr. Barnett did a total left hip replacement for me two weeks ago. I was able to leave the house within a week, and drive within less than two weeks. My pain was never over a 5 on a scale of 1 to 10. Marc is an awesome knee replacement. I would highly recommend him. I had a very bad bone on bone joint for 15 years and had the replacement done by Dr Barnett on 3/12/2024 and was 120 degree bend and straight after 6 weeks.
