SO this is an UPDATE, as of 03/2025 now my right shoulder is showing signs of wear. We talked at length about my X-Ray and Jay gave me an injections to take away the pain for a little while, or for a while. We won't know until about 3 months. I am 100 % at easy because of how Doc Kalawadia feels about our plan of attack with my shoulder. in less than 24 hours and my shoulder is already feeling better. i really like this doctor. i truly believes he cares about my situation and my goals to stay active. i may not want to hear it but it's been the best suggestions that have driven results for me. this last time i said to myself, i'm not walking out of there without an MRI. we talked through my symptoms and he was leaning towards a shot. I hate shots BUT he asked more probing questions and once i told him the motions i was making causing the discomfort, he was like we're doing an MRI. BOOM!! he's legit. Fast forward to today as that was months ago. My surgery was today and the pre and post op staff took great care of me. Dr. Kalawadia came to see me before and after 3 weeks after the birth of a son. I come every 3 months for injections in both knees. They are bone on bone and often very swollen & painful upon arrival. Dr Kalawadia somehow manages to make the injections nearly pain-free. I have a Bakers Cyst and no cartilage behind the knee cap. Another orthopedic practice injected Cortisone ( which did not help). I said let’s try the gel... I had an appointment set up for month later because they said I could not have it right away. Dr. Kalawadia did it that day! I had my initial evaluation earlier today with Jay V. Kalawadia, MD for osteoarthritis and other issues in both knees. My former knee specialist had retired several years ago and I am now having issues once again. Doctor was referred to me by a current patient.
