I highly recommend Dr. Pollice. A few years ago he had replaced my right knee with a great outcome. So when it came to needing my left knee replaced, there definitely would be no one else that I would consider for the surgery. Dr. Pollice is explains things simply and straight forward. Within 6 weeks I was back riding my mountain bicycle, and in just under 90 days I was able to do a 2.5 mile hike in NH with an elevation gain of around 700'. My overall visit was excellent. Today I had an follow up office visit for my left knee, which included x-rays and a cortisone injection. I have osteoarthritis (bone on bone) in my left knee. I met with Dr. Pollice to discuss a TKR. I am under 40 and a unique case so I had a lot of concerns about the procedure. Dr. Pollice listened with a genuine sense of care and understanding. He was open and honest about the potential risks. Kept it real. The day I visited, his office was short staffed and running behind schedule. (Everyone was still pleasant and did the best they could to accommodate!) Despite this, he spent a lot of time talking through all of my concerns and questions never once making my visit feel rushed. He was present and attentive the full visit. I truly felt heard and understood. I was pleasantly surprised on my visit to OAA on March 27 2024 - After being in the waiting room for about 15 minutes, Dr. Pollice came out himself and called me back for my appointment!! My visit today at OAA was my first experience at this facility. The valet parking was phenomenal!!! Very grateful I didn’t have to make the long walk from the parking lot. Dr. Police is a very professional, knowledgeable and capable surgeon. My most recent visit wa a 1 year follow-up on a total right knee replacement. During my visit, I expressed some increased discomfort in my left knee , which was replaced by a different surgeon 8 years ago. Dr. Police suggested some c-rays on that knee as well in addition to both hips. This is my husband's second time since 2004 when he had the alternate knee done. He's having his other done today, because he had such a good outcome! The last one we were told would last 10 years, but it is STILL going strong! It was not an easy one, since my hubby had rods in his leg since over 30 some years before that. Dr. Pollice performed bilateral knee replacements the same day on me 2 years ago after living with severe pain and discomfort walking for years. He has giving me back my ability to perform work I previously did, but now without the pain and discomfort. I cannot say enough about how good Dr. P is. He's down to earth, tells it like it is, not "surgery-happy", and overwhelmingly prepared to treat people. My first knee replacement was so successful when a few months later my other knee went south very fast, I didn't hesitate to have that one replaced. Now, 18 months past my first one, I'll back to normal. I can do so much more than I have been able to do for years. The entire group is awesome and easy to work with. Prior to actually scheduling my surgery for a full left knee replacement, I had interviewed with 3 other orthopedic surgeons. I asked my personal Dr. " if you had to replace your knee, who would you pick"? and his answer was Paul Pollice. It's been seven years since I took his advice and had the procedure and I don't regret my decision one bit. For me, this was a life changing event, considering I had been using a knee without an meniscus for over 47 years. I know many people who have had the same procedure performed by various other surgeons and they cannot display the same amount of flexibility, strength , and lack of pain that I am enjoying right now. A conservative non surgical treatment plan was established, and even the topic of eventual surgery was discussed in a clear and concise manner, always letting me know that I would know when it was time for surgery. Dr Pollice and his staff were excellent for my hip revision. His staff were able to work through difficult and lengthy insurance approvals after it looked like it would be denied. The operation and recovery went very smoothly. It has been so nice to be able to walk pain free. Dr Pollice worked very hard to fit a special dual action socket in the hip that helped even out the previous uneven leg lengths. I was a 59 year old, large woman. I had knee surgery in 2014.My experience was excellent. All staff was considerate, Appointments were easy to schedule. I was seen with no more than a 10 minute wait on multiple occasions.The facilities were new, clean and great parking area (valet parking available). After suffering for 15 years, i finally was able to have knee surgery. The results have been great, I have no pain except for mild discomfort with rain.
