I was fortunate enough to have Dr.Galtter treat me for a corneal abrasion in Lenox Hill Emergency. He was professional, and very kind. An infectious disease doctor recommended that I go to the emergency room at Lenox Hospital due to unabated fever I had had for five days. Going to the ER was the best decision I could have made. I was seen by Dr. Glatter who was incredibly thorough and utterly competent. He ordered several tests for infectious diseases, and within two hours, I knew that I had malaria. Dr. Glatter managed to diagnose within a couple of hours what my primary physician had not been able to do in five days. He was in constant consultation with infectious disease specialists, consulting them about lab results and treatment options. His superior medical expertise was coupled with a gentle and humorous attitude. I had expected an ER experience to be alienating and unnerving.
