No one plans on getting injured. However, if you do, I highly recommend Dr. Feltham and the staff at SpecOrtho. As soon as you walk in you are greeted warmly at the front desk. You then are seen by a very friendly staff member to go over your patient information and reason for your visit. When Dr. Feltham enters, he shows genuine concern for your injury and pain. I never feel rushed and any questions or concerns are addressed to get you back to recovery. Then, if required like me, the X-Ray and MRI technicians are amazing. I don’t know if this would be called fortunate or not, but I would say I have been fortunate to find Dr. Feltham. I had two surgeries on my left shoulder with a previous Doc, and then found Dr. Feltham who fixed me up for good in a third surgery. Then last year I tore my left bicep and called Dr. Feltham right away. I was in to see him the next day, and he fixed me up shortly after. I’ve known my right shoulder has been a problem for years, so I’m back again (between my own visits, and all my aging friends I’ve referred, I need frequent flyer miles or something). As I’ve come to expect, both Dr. Feltham, and his entire staff are there to take me through the process, listening and explaining each step along the way. His facility is top notch, exceeded only by the quality of his staff from check-in to check-out. I had a surgery with Dr. Feltham a year and a half ago on my shoulder. He fixed me up after two previous attempt with a different doctor. I have made recommendations to friends countless times. All that was when I didn’t think I would need to see him again. Last weekend I completely tore my bicep tendon. In the ER I insisted on seeing Dr Feltham again. I was able to get in, and start the plan for surgical repair right away. I can honestly say I’ve never been looking forward to seeing a surgeon like this before. He, and his staff are all amazing. I went to Dr Feltham due to severe pain in my knee. He scheduled an MRI and quickly diagnosed my injury. He then scheduled 4 weeks of PT and treatments for the discomfort. Dealt with OrthoCarolina... Not horrible but it takes forever to get someone on the phone and a long time to get an appointment. I found Spec-Ortho because I was looking for alternatives and they were really highly rated. I called and after a couple rings I actually got a live person on the phone without having to go through a bunch of bs. I got an appointment very quickly much more quickly than I could have gotten with OrthoCarolina. But I met with Dr Feltham he talked to me like we were peers. Every visit I had from post-op to surgery to follow up appts... ALL GREAT!! I also felt very privileged to be worked on by a doctor who was the team doctor for the 2008 Women's World Cup Champion Soccer team and many other US national teams. Great! The entire staff was kind, and professional. Dr Feltham did an incredible job operating on my ankle. I needed surgery for a year and it feels so much better now. Even after surgery, although I have some pain, I have so much less pain. The pain is minimal compared to other surgeries I have had. I would recommend Dr Feltham and his staff to anyone. I definitely recommend Dr Feltham ! I was told “you will need a new knee when you can’t stand it anymore.” I heard of the operation being performed for NBA professional players. A procedure called Micro fracturing. Dr Feltham was the only Orthapedic that I found to do this for my knee. It worked wonderfully. I am so thankful that I was lucky enough to have him perform this solution. It’s been over ten years. We saw Dr. Feltham for my daughter’s shoulder. The front desk team were so kind! They scheduled her for a next day appointment. We barely waited in the waiting room for a 3:00 appointment (and you know how doctors can get backed up as the day goes on). She had x-rays quickly, and Dr. Feltham was right on their heels with the results. He explained it in doctor terms and then regular terms. We were gone within 45 minutes with a game plan. Highly recommend!
