Referred to Dr Kok last year for knee issues when my prior Dr retired. That was such a great experience that I asked Dr. Kok to help me with shoulder pain & issues that had persisted for over a decade, despite 2 past surgeries by surgeons at another facility, as well as seeking his help with a flare of painful trochanteric bursitis. Every time, he was kind, patient, listened carefully to my descriptions of what I was experiencing and the impacts on my sleep, activities, etc., in addition to looking at data from his exams & tests, to determine the best treatment approach. We discussed my concerns, what goals I needed to get from treatments, timeliness, and the level of support I'd need and have at home. With that, he presented me with several options each time, along with which ones he thought would have the best outcome for my immediate & long-term needs and recovery. His honest & informative, no-pressure manner gave me confidence in my choices, and the outcomes were spectacular.

Dr. Kok also doesn't rush or pressure his patients into doing big, expensive or life-impacting surgeries & procedures like some doctors. He offers options, carefully explaining the potential impacts & chances of success for each, and asks what you feel is best for you & your life, activities, recovery goals, etc., along with his recommendation on what the best option would be. He’s a lifesaver, I seen two other orthopedics prior to seeing him and none of them did anything because the metal in my head couldn’t get the proper imaging(mri). I had my meniscus torn from the bone. He was recommended to me by another surgeon that told me “this is the guy I’d have do it if it were my knee” I checked him out and was satisfied with all I learned about him. When I went for my initial visit he obviously was professional yet instantly felt like this was a guy I could hang out with. No pressure from him when I whined about losing my summer to six weeks of non-weight bearing and crouches. He scheduled the surgery around my wants not his opinion was to do it then. No argument from me that it should have been done then, however he was incredibly understanding of my situation and my family situation. To make a long story short. Great guy who cares about his patients situation and oh ya I’m also very happy with the ease of dealing with his staff. I had my ACL repaired by Dr. Kok. Every time I’ve gone in for an appointment, pre and post-op, he’s been incredibly kind, friendly, and knowledgeable. Dr. Peter Kok, Orthopedist, Surgeon, was compassionate, respectful, kind, and highly knowledgable about my problem. He wore at mask at my request with no problem, and so did his nurse. His staff is responsive, respectful, and caring! I was able to get an appointment very quickly for a recent orthopedic injury. Dr. Kok reassured me by answering my questions. He also gave me very helpful exercise handouts, which I did at home, until I could get in to see the PT closer to where I live. His office is new, clean, and comfortable. I would definitely go back to him, if I ever have another orthopedic issue. I have already recommended him to several of my friends! I live over an hour from his office, however, it was well worth the drive! Plus the pretty little historic town of Concord has lovely local shops, and restaurants to eat at after your appointment! I was in and out in less than 15 minutes, which included x-rays bring taken and Dr Cok reviewing them, and a physical examination of the knee.
