My wife suffered debilitating arthritis in her hip, it started as stiffness and progressed to pain. During this journey she tried the typical remedies like physical therapy and medicines to no avail. Her problems got worse, outwardly her balanced well coordinated natural gait changed to a limp, then a hop, and then everyday life things got harder for her. At this point you begin to wonder, is there any way forward from here? Is my life going to be changed forever? According to my wife that's how she felt, I and I could feel it too! If you are going through something like this don't worry because there is Hope... Dr. Hope! She explained the benefits of THR to us, and described the process from start to finish. She set expectations for recovery, that at the time seemed unrealistic to me when she told my wife 'you'll be able to walk out of the surgical center the same day, and you'll feel better than you did when you arrived, and you probably won't need anything other then tylenol for pain'. I thought to myself, how is that even possible? But doctor Thalody was %100 right, I'm still in disbelief. Dr. Thalody is an exceptional surgeon and doctor who recently completed a right total knee replacement for a close friend. She is an expert at her craft, and the confidence she exudes is backed by the quality of her care. She is attentive and responsive to questions and concerns, and she empowers her patients to work through the inevitable difficulties of such a major surgery. The surgical work was exceptional, and the return to daily activities (walking, driving, cleaning) has been quick (~3 weeks), which is thanks in equal parts to Dr. Thalody's surgical work as well as her high expectations for recovery.Patient Submitted Review

When my husband broke his femur in a snowboarding accident, Dr. Thalody was there every step of the way, from pre-op to post-op, through PT. Thanks to her support, he's made a full recovery with zero issues and is back doing all of the things he loves. Dr. Thalody is so thorough and cares deeply about her patients. I would highly recommend her!

I could not be happier that I chose Dr. Thalody to do my THR surgery. We met three times, during which she explained the procedure, risks, and prognosis and answered all our questions. She was welcoming, confident, and attentive to our concerns. These meetings were at least 30 minutes each - not the often hurried 10-15 minutes that doctors seem to be limited to now. Dr. Hope called me the night before the surgery and was there around 6:00 am the day after. I felt safe and confident as she is knowledgeable about current procedure and has empathy for her patients. Dr Hope Thalody has performed my first knee replacement surgery. Hope and her team at OAA have been great with answering any and all of my questions and concerns. She is more than confident with the surgical procedure she had performed. I love the pre opt and post opt phone calls I have received from her checking in on how I am doing. Dr. Hope really listens well and answers all my questions. I’ve just come back from getting my hip replaced by her and I’m so pleased with how mobile I am right from the beginning. I will definitely go back to her if I need my other hip done!
