Dr Cooke was super helpful in helping me understand my pain issues which was great … as it was a back issue — not a hip issue. With the proper diagnosis, I can now get the proper PT and do the appropriate exercises. He understood my concerns and I feel so positive about moving forward doing with doing the things he suggested would help. The whole office staff is very efficient and kind.

Dr. Christopher Cooke is friendly, to the point, and does a wonderful job explaining why a procedure is necessary. He took the time to explain why a microfracture procedure was needed while removing my torn meniscus and the benefits of doing both together. My entire total hip joint replacement-2nd one. Dr Cooke did my other hip 14 years ago. The process for both hips was consistent. Dr. Cooke was able to lengthen my left leg to match better my right leg during the September 10, 2025 surgery. The entire process at OAL is amazing. I'm happy to have Dr,. Cooke do my hip replacement surgery. I found him to be friendly, professional, and forthcoming with what to expect, what must be done prior to the surgery, along with possible issues that might prove to be problematic during or after surgery. I feel quite comfortable with being in good hands even if the requisite anxiety about the procedure is the. My surgery was February 5th, 2025, and it was extremely successful. I knew I would pick OAL if I ever needed an orthopedic group for myself because as a pediatric nurse I was able to see this group care for our children like I did . I was a new patient for Dr Cooke ,he greeted me with a smile and was so genuine he made me feel as if I was the only patient he had that day ! His team worked together like clock work . On time start. Courteous nurse took care of all the preliminaries. No wait time betweeen her completing her job and the appearance of Dr. Cooke. He was personable, focused on the point of the visit and orderd up a set of hip x-rays almost immediately. A nurse appeared within 30 seconds and led to me to the x-ray lab, was quite professional in lining me up properly, took 3 images and processed them, and sent them to Dr. Cooke, and led me back to the room where Dr. Cooke was already examining them. He showed me the issues and we compared them to a set of x-rays from 3 years ago so we could see what the trends were. Not good. He told me what my alternatives were and the path was pretty obvious to me so we worked out a schedule of events that made sense to both of us. We fist-bumped and I walked out ~35-40 minutes after the beginning of the appointment knowing exactly what my path be over the next several month leading up to surgery. Six week follow-up on surgery. Therapy went well and was released to continue exercises at home. No hip pain, but still some muscle discomfort from body getting used to the metal and plastic in the hip. Dr. Cooke has been very professional and personable. He listens very well. I appreciated him doing all he could to get my total hip replacement done ASAP, as it was falling apart fast. Its been 6 weeks. I go for my appointment tomorrow. I can't wait to show Dr. Cooke how good I'm doing. Dr. Cooke listens, and he communicates well. He helps explore options, if they are available, and viable, and he also explains the procedure in depth ahead of time. He will let you know that you will get out of it what you put into it beforehand. His in-surgery attention to flexion and extension made a big difference for my outcome, and I appreciate that. From beginning to end Dr. Cooke and his staff did an amazing job! He explained everything step by step. There was no question what the process was going to be. I felt confident in Dr. Cooke’s hands. This is a big decision and at age 78 it can be scary not knowing how a knee replacement will change my life. Dr. Cooke did not rush into surgery initially. He explained why it was best to try everything else first. I have so much respect for Dr. Cooke, Jessica Strubel, and Nurse Case Navigator Chris. Together this team is AMAZING! Dr. Cooke did my knee replacement surgery on June 2. The care I received that day, was nothing short of amazing. I felt safe and confident in Dr. Cooke and everyone involved who was on his staff. The care was wonderful. From checking in, my nurse Emily was awesome, the anesthesiologist was wonderful to me, to the surgery, to the after care, to helping me get ready to go home the same day to the follow up when I was home. I can't thank them enough for their care and kindness. To Dr. Cooke, thank you so much!! Anyone who can have the same day surgery and go home, I would highly recommend Dr. Cooke and his staff. I was very pleased with Dr. Cooke and his staff. He was easy to talk to and took time to explain the procedure and what to expect. His surgical coordinator Matt was very helpful in scheduling the pre-op appointments and answered any questions I had thru the whole process.
