Dr Otte and his team were absolutely amazing. My 10 year old fractured her ankle in 3 different spots. We saw him on a Wednesday and he explained everything that was going on and didnt talk to us like we were stupid. But explained it well enough that even my 10 year old could understand. My son had to see Dr Otte for his shoulder last year so when he had issues with his knee, he chose Dr Otte. My son said he loves Dr Otte and doesn’t regret choosing him for his care, surgery, post-care, and eventually most likely a cartilage allograft. Dr Otte is very personable and takes the time in the room with you to talk and explain everything and doesn’t make you feel rushed. My son says he feels like he genuinely seems to care about him and his condition and progress! He told us the condition is life changing but to remember it is not life threatening. He will have to have a total knee replacement at an early age but we had to try to save some of the knee until he is older so he had to have an osteotomy. Dr. Otte was very informative on what he was doing explaining things every step of the way…as person he is absolutely great and is very caring guy…if I was to guess he shows this care to every patient not just me and that goes long way….now as surgeon…well with an MRI we discovered that I had torn or injured pretty much everything in a knee that holds it all together…right…as bad as was I honestly thought there would b a lot of things that I wouldn’t be able to do like could before…I’m 3 months out of a 5 1/2 hr surgery and have full range of motion and now just building up the strength in all my new ligaments with lots of good exercises implemented by the wonderful physical therapy team that OIO offers as well…yes I put in and am still doing so .. the work but to come back physically but without a successful surgery on such a bad injury none of this would have been attainable…So ty Dr Otte as far as I go one of the best orthopedic surgeons that walks in state of Ohio.Patient Submitted Review

I have heard very horrible surgery/ recovery stories when people pull their bicep tendon. Dr. Otte made this experience much different than I expected. Surgery is never fun but I can't imagine how he could of made things go any more smooth. I had surgery 2 weeks ago today and I can hardly tell it had ever happened. Dr. Otte just done surgery on my 15 year old nephew last week. My nephew was very upset that he needed it done but Dr. Otte was very professional and caring and explained very well to my nephew why he needed the surgery. He even gave my nephew a hug. Having recently fractured my hip at age 52, I met Dr Otte for the first time today. I feel I am in very capable hands! From my first phone call through my appointment this office has exceeded my expectations. He was a very knowledgeable, compassionate surgeon that hasn’t scheduled surgery asap. Well aware that I plan an active senior life, snow and water skiing, etc he is taking a conservative approach to my recovery.
