I have so many good things to say about my visit with Dr. Starnes. Firstly the reception people are wonderful and the amazing x-ray tech made the intro easy. The receptionist was so polite and so helpful and so very nice I truly enjoyed that. Also the lady that does the x-rays the nicest. They were all absolutely the sweetest and most caring Dr. Office that I believe that ive ever experienced! The nurse and Dr. Starnes were so caring and answered all of my questions. They all were straight shooter's and honest. They didn't go around in circles like alot do just to get your money. I wasn't told that yes that would absolutely work knowing that it wouldn't . So I would waste gas and money to come back over and over again. They were very honest and I absolutely appreciate that and I would refer them to everyone. I'm 56 years old and haven't had a pleasant experience like this visit was. And it WASN'T because I got to hear the NEWS that I wanted to HEAR . BECAUSE IT WAS REALLY SAD NEWS TO ME BECAUSE I FELT LIKE THIS WAS MY LAST SHOT TO WALK WITHOUT PAIN AND FALLING. I went in with a knee injury (possible MCL/ACL/meniscus tear). Dr Starnes was very friendly and attentive. He didn’t sugar coat things but also didn’t catastrophize, which was refreshing after a very scary conversation with a virtual PCP and a PT assessment the day before.Went to the walk in clinic at 8am, was seen by 8:45, had X-rays, assessment, MRI ordered, knee brace and crutches fitted and out the door by 9:30.I appreciated how attentive and efficient the entire staff was as I am moving out of the country in a month, so a speedy diagnosis is key in case I have to get surgery.rater8 Verified Patient

I can't say enough good things about Dr Starnes, he is informative, listens well, is relatively painless, I've been getting injections in my wrist for years, no one is used any devices to pinpoint where they're giving me the injections It was basically hit or miss, Dr Starnes used ultrasound to pinpoint where the injection would be most effective, They used to only last a few months but with targeted injections my last one lasted 8 months I'm so impressed, relieved that I can go long periods of times now without the bones rubbing together and causing me to be debilitated. This was my first visit with Dr. Thomas Starnes. The visit could not have gone any better. He exceeded all of my expectations. He was warm, respectful, professional, and extremely knowledgeable. He brought my MRI up on the screen and explained in detail to my husband and I what I was experiencing. He offered many solutions and paths that we could take, but asked that we start very slow and basic so we could rule out which would be the right path for me moving forward. I saw Dr. Starnes at the walk in clinic after a not so pleasant experience at another practice. I was hoping for injections and therapy for a shoulder injury, but Dr. Starnes felt I needed surgical consultation first. I am thankful that Dr. Starnes did not do the injections as I wanted, because it would have delayed my surgery. Very kind and compassionate provider. He listened to my concerns and spent a lot of time explaining my injury and he recommendations. Dr. Starnes is by far the best of all the orthopedic doctors I have seen over the years from sports related injuries. He is more patient-centered than any doctor I have worked with. What a great experience! My son sustained a basketball injury, and Dr. Starnes was so helpful. He spoke to my son in a manner that set my son at ease. It was apparent he was knowledgeable with sports and their related injuries. He even did the ultrasound himself in the exam room and explained as he went along.
