Dr. Turki has done two surgical procedures on me and is currently treating my arthritic shoulders. He takes time with me, is thorough and is one of the BEST doctors I have ever had (in my 66 years). I could not ask for a better doctor for my trigger finger. The entire office staff were amazing! And so fast. I was in and out before I ever arrived! My appointment was for 7:15 and I was outside waiting for my ride at 7:00. Cortisone shots hurt but they made the entire process as painless as possible. This practice is efficiency personified. He has been and still is excellent. I've been his patient for years. He has totally replaced my left shoulder and will soon be replacing my right shoulder. Dr. Turki has done a Carpal Tunnel Release on both my right hand & left hand & trigger thumb release on my left thumb. He & his staff in office & surgical center always have been extremely caring & attentive. Dr. Turki has an amazing bedside manner the best i’ve seen by far. If I could give him a higher rating he’d max that one out too. He has also done a carpal tunnel release on my mom & as of today has seen 2 out of 3 of my sons for a sports injury. Because I’m a hairstylist & work with my hands 10hrs a day 6 days a week i’m coming back for another trigger finger release on my right ring finger. I actually made an appointment and when I got there at the Wetumpka office realized it was with another group of doctors. The front desk person was so helpful to help me figure out I was at the wrong office. So I decided to stay and make appointment with the doctors in this group. I have suffered from severe carpal tunnel syndrome for decades, and numbness in both of my hands has been my biggest problem. My family doctor referred me to Dr. Hussein W. Turki for surgery. Dr. Turki is truly skilled — the surgery went so smoothly, with no bleeding and no infection, and the wound healed very quickly. Amazingly, I was able to drive the very next day, and the numbness in my operated hand is now gone. Dr. Turki’s entire team, including the anesthesiologist and nurses, provided excellent care. Since I don’t speak English, they patiently explained everything to me, which I greatly appreciate. Dr. Turki did carpal tunnel and trigger finger surgery for me. My carpal tunnel was corrected, but the trigger finger surgery didn’t fix the problem. Dr Turki was good to not give up, and did another surgery six months later on the fingers. I am happy to say the second time went great, and I am able to still work with my cleaning business. I showed up and they didn’t have me down for an appointment, but they scheduled me as a work in and got me back within 15 minutes. Dr. Turki came in the room to see me within 10 minutes. He listened to me and was very thorough. His nurse Penny was also very knowledgeable and sweet. The whole experience was nothing less than great. I was in and out within 45 minutes. 10 out of 10 I would definitely recommend! Very impressed! —Follow up review: I am 8 months post-op from my right carpal tunnel release surgery. I am still pain free with no carpal tunnel symptoms whatsoever! I woke up from surgery free of any symptoms and with no pain at all. I experienced little to no pain at all during my recovery. I was beyond pleased with entire experience. Whenever I have a chance to refer a friend, family member or patient to Dr. Turki, I always do. I went to Dr. Turku for carpal tunnel surgery and I could not have been more pleased with everything start to finish. The staff was kind and efficient, and it was such a nice change not to have a long wait before I was taken back to see the doctor. Every appointment was scheduled at my convenience and I never waited more than 10 minutes to be taken back to see the doctor. Dr. Turki was exceptionally pleasant and informative and at all times professional. The day of the surgery, he put me at complete ease and that’s not an easy thing to do because of several bad experiences I’ve had with surgery in the past. Though it will be six months before I will know the final result of my carpet tunnel surgery, I have already seen major improvements in my hand and I have no doubt it will continue to improve. Dr. Turki removed a cyst from my little finger in 2021 with no problems. I returned today with issues with my right wrist. He evaluated my case & give me an injection & wrist band to wear. Doctor Turki is a great surgeon I have had to use him three times. The first time I fell on my right shoulder that had surgery before and nobody could fix but Dr Turki he did a great job it’s better now . Second time I had hand surgery also everything went great. The third time was a charm I had surgery back in the 1980 on my left shoulder the dr that did it said he did the best he could do. I play golf and one day I was playing my arm started hurting and turning blue so my Dr sent me to Dr Turki and soon as I saw him he told me I will have to have complete shoulder surgery and when he finished my surgery he told me it was worse all I had was pieces of bones I didn’t even have a ball and socket he said. So that’s my story. Doctor Turki I’m so thankful for him putting me back together. If anybody need anything like what I had he is the one to use. I give him a 10 stars. I got in to see Dr. Turki very fast. His office staff were amazing and he was incredible. After seeing other doctors with what I/they thought were shoulder issues, Dr. Turki concluded right almost immdiately that it was NOT an issue with my shoulder and was in fact stemming from issues with my neck/spine. He done elbow surgery on me 4 years ago and wonderful dr . I shattered my elbow when I fell at Chic fila on Ann Street and was told I may only have 20% because of the damage but God and Pro impact physical therapy and my drive to get better has got me as much mobility in my left arm as my right arm. Dr. Turki treated me for bilateral carpal tunnel syndrome. Once the nerve path testing was complete he was ready to get me scheduled so I could finally get relief from the horrible pain and numbness that I had been dealing with for months. He is extremely smart, very personable and great at his job. Both surgeries went well (still healing from the last one) but I am finally pain free and have feeling in my fingers. His office staff and nurse, Penny, have also been amazing. I really can't say enough about everyone that I encountered during this process. Dr. Turki is, without a doubt, the very best at what he does. He managed to somehow salvage my shattered elbow in a way that was just about miraculous. I am so grateful he was available to practice his magic at the time of my accident. This is our second experience with Dr.Turki, in that he also put together my wife's wrist, which she also broke up pretty well from her fall from a Segway a couple years ago. I managed to break mine from a bicycle fall. I sincerely hope I will not have to see him any time soon again..... but if something breaks, I know who to go to!! Dr.Turki put pins in the 1st two fingers on my left hand July 2019. I am thoroughly satisfied. Dr. Turki did carpal tunnel surgery on my grandson's left hand May 29, 2020. My grandson has Type 1 diabetes and has diabetic neuropathy in his hands and arms. The nerves in his left hand fingers are badly damaged. Dr. Turki was very concerned and showed great compassion for Jacob. He has recommended the doctor to treat Jacob's problems. Dr. Turki was very concerned about Jacob's fingers. I learned of him through a friend's need of him as I used to be her driver. He remembers her and me and its been 2-3 years. He has a kind way talking WITH you, not AT you. He discusses. He doesn't rule. He doesn't mind taking the time to explain his recommendations and listen to your thoughts/concerns/situation. That is a rare quality. I can’t say enough about this doctor! He’s performed carpal tunnel release on both right and left hand, a separated shoulder and he’s about to perform another surgery on left wrist/arm. Several doctors told me that I didn’t have RA but Dr Turki was POSITIVE that I did. He made contact with one of the best Rheumatologist in Alabama and even scheduled an appointment for me. Turns out...he was right...I do have RA. Dr. Turki’s bed side mannerism is outstanding, he is thorough, he LISTENS, and is absolutely the best orthopedic...hands down!!!!!! He is the only orthopedic I will ever use! I’m not just another number when I have an appointment...y’all this man greets me by my name, high fives me, and literally ask about my husband (while calling him by his name) when I walk through the back of his office to a room!! Dr Turkish did my right shoulder surgery/replacement and I am very pleased with my therapy and progress. It took him less than 30 minutes to diagnose my problems and he made me feel like I could trust him completely.
