Dr. Kalmadi is both compassionate to me and knowledgeable about Prostate Cancer. Before and after my PLND/RALP surgery on 11/4/19 at the Mayo Clinic in Phoenix, Dr. Kalmadi has carefully managed my Lupron depot injections and monitored my health with blood work, DEXA scans, and MRI’s since 2019. He also suggested I consider pelvic floor IMRT with Dr. Gross, who administered and wisely managed that treatment some time ago. This is the kindest most compassionate man that I have ever had the pleasure of knowing. During a very difficult time in my life, Dr Kalmadi was the absolute best doctor I could have worked with. He explained everything well and followed up with me when appropriate. He worked with me throughout the entire process to make sure I felt my best at all times. I have some work from home options, but I only missed about two days work through the 5 month chemo process due to not feeling well. I wish he could be my primary doctor too!!!! I have been a patient of Dr Kalmadi since 2008 he is truly a wonderful doctor and person. I was in my late 20s when my journey with metastatic cancer began and I have no doubt that I'm still here 12 years later because of the decision to switch to Dr k. He remembers everything about the patient history knows the progression of options for treatment and stays up to date on new research and clinical trials. He answers all questions honestly. Has an extremely busy practice from our experience, however takes plenty of interest and gives personal care. My sister lost her insurance during her treatment due to not being able to work and dr. Kalmadi continued to see her WITHOUT charge for 3 months. Thankfully she was able to regain her medical insurance and has finished her treatment successfully and hopefully is completely cured. Told me the different options, then selected a tablet with no intravenous chemotherapy which had the highest chance of cure for my rectal cancer.
