I am 2 weeks post op today for a total knee replacement. Dr. Branson went the extra mile, making sure I knew the extra complications I may (and indeed do) face from having this done at such a young age. He did a phenomenal job, and while I still have a good while to go to complete my recovery, it's already a night and day difference in the stability of my leg. I saw Heather today for my follow up and she was absolutely amazing, hitting all the common questions one might have right out of the gate, answering nearly everything I was going to ask before I even had to, then patiently answering the extra questions I have. I hurt my knee , I fell on ice. Brittany powers the practice manager got me an appointment right away when I walked into the office for my appointment there was around 35 other patients that had fractures due to falling on ice also. The wait time was very reasonable the staff was very polite. Greg took excellent care of me. I highly recommend this orthopedic center. Brittany Powers, the office manager goes above and beyond to accommodate all patients. I injured my knee and had an appointment with their office within 24 hours. The provider that I saw Greg was amazing. He took time to explain my injury to me in detail he ordered further testing to determine exactly what is wrong with my knee . The day of my appointment there were multiple people there with fractures who had fallen on ice just as I did however, the wait times were very reasonable. The office did absolutely amazing accommodating everyone’s injuries. I highly recommend this orthopedic center. If you have any orthopedic concerns. the staff is friendly the doctors are great. I took my son for a second opinion to see Dr. Morgan this morning. He was very thorough and explained everything very well and in detail leaving no questions unanswered! Needless to say, Dr. Morgan is who my son chose to preform his surgery by the end of the visit. My son in general isn’t big on doctors and usually has something smerky to say as a typical teen about his visits, but today my son came out happy, and satisfied with his visit so much that he actually said very positive things such as he seemed really nice, sounded like he knew what he was talking about, and that he was glad he was convinced into doing this second opinion when he almost refused because he just wanted his surgery done and over with! Was very thorough and left no questions unanswered, the visit was in a timely manner with little to no wait times between the lobby and exam room. Staff were all wonderful and on top of their game this morning. My son is not big on drs and their decisions and he is usually very opinionated, 99% of the time he has a bad review about them, his review obviously is only reflected to his parents. Today his opinion was completely opposite when we left and he was very satisfied with his visit, he said he actually liked Dr. Morgan that he seemed nice and thorough, he made him feel much better about his upcoming surgery so much that he chose him to do it. Dr. Morgan and his entire staff are so great all around! They are kind, clear, and consistent. Even before I injured my knee and needed to see someone for it I had always, for years, heard raving reviews about Dr. Morgan. Once I did injure my knee and asked around the consensus was clear - Dr. Morgan is absolutely top notch. He is super nice too and easy to talk to on top of his knowledge. My mother told me years ago that the CEO of the company she worked for (BIG nation wide company that’s processed pensions among other things and has been in business for well over 60 years) needed a surgeon for his daughter. He told his people “he didn’t care where he had to take her but he wanted the BEST orthopedic surgeon in the country”. His crew ran the numbers and stats and researched but quickly found that one doctor was far above the rest. Take a guess who! Haha! On top of that Dr. Morgan has operated on numerous members of my family and they have never had any complications after. One family member in particular had a surgery done by Dr. Morgan in one knee and then later on needed the same surgery on the other knee. She moved to a different state though and a different doctor did her surgery. She has problems in one of her knees now even after surgery… it wasn’t the knee Dr. Morgan operated on though! You hit the jackpot with Morgan as a doctor. His knowledge and skills are top tier and he and his staff are just so nice and create an amazing atmosphere at their office, which ALSO is always amazingly super clean. I have been seeing Heather for all of my follow-up from a hip replacement at WVU that was done on April 5th. She has been super friendly and so sweet. She's also been understanding about my frustration at my limitations because of being under hip precaution orders. They re x-rayed the hip today and she said it looks wonderful. She got excited for me because it has been a long, hard journey and I told her I got a glimpse of Dr Branson in the hallway and thank him for agreeing to do the follow-up here rather than me having to go to the Pennsylvania state line for every visit. He said he thought I looked great but he wanted to see the pictures! He pointed out a few things to Heather that he thought were unusual choices but said that Dr Klein, the orthopedic surgeon in Morgantown has done an excellent job for me. Yay!! He checked my knee thoroughly and the cortisone injection didn’t even hurt. He listens to what I was saying about my carpal tunnel problems and asked questions that help me better explain my problems. One of the best experiences I’ve had in an appointment of any kind and it was during one of the most difficult reasons to be seen by any doctor. My provider had excellent bedside manner and shared the facts with me in a way I could understand and was unbiased in telling me my treatment options so I could make the best choice for myself. He did end up telling me he agreed with my choice for treatment after we fully discussed everything which only made me that much more confident. He was ready when I got to my appointment, having had looked at my scans and was prepared to show me everything and explain what the future may hold so I didn’t feel like just another patient or a number. In our discussion he talked to me as a human being and was very thorough and discussed things he probably wasn’t required to- to try and uncover why the injury itself was possible at my age (even though it was purely an accidental fall on ice), in case there is something else going on that can prevent future injuries which I appreciate so very much. Their entire team was amazing- from the front desk staff signing people in, to the surgery scheduler and the person calling to go over preop questionnaires, they all went above and beyond to make me comfortable, confident, and cared for as a human and not just another patient. Thank you so much for all they have done for me so far and I know surgery is going to go well!
