This is Bruce Sikorski. A few days ago I was having severe leg pain to the point where I could barely walk. My regular doctor was not in. Dr. Rao was kind enough to squeeze me into his schedule that same day. He figured out what was causing the pain and gave me some injections to calm it down. I feel like I have a new leg! I felt like a train wreck for several days and decided I needed to be seen. I went to the Gibson Family Health Clinic on my way home from a weekend at our cabin. The staff was great! From registration on through, I felt cared for and I am glad I went to this facility . The only name I remember is the P A Daniel Netherton . He was really good and I appreciate the time he spent with me. Great people. Great Service.

Dr. Hollenbeck recently performed a sigmoid colectomy of my colon. The level of care I experienced from he and his staff was excellent from the start. Dr. Hollenbeck thoroughly explained my procedure at the preop visit, and took the time to answer additional questions by phone before the surgery. He truly advocates for his patients, has a great deal of skill and knowledge as well as excellent bedside manner. His staff is also amazing. They are very busy but went out of their way to make sure any concerns I had were addressed. Dr. Hollenbeck and his team will take excellent care of you or your family member as they were their own.

Been going to HNJH for over six years now, 100% satisfied with everyone there that I've come in contact with. Dr Gill is my primary physician, she takes great care of both my wife and I. Currently going to the PT Dept to take care of a sore shoulder. After my initial consultation with Deb and follow up therapy with Krista, I'm very optimistic that my shoulder issues will be corrected very soon. This is a fantastic health care facility!!

Dr Hollander changed my life with my knee replacement in August. He is A wonder surgeon with the knowledge, hands and skill guided by a higher power. I have complete confidence in having my second knee replacement for a brand new full set. His bedside manner is above and beyond what's expected. He is genuine and kind with a great sense of humor. I wouldn't want any other orthopedic surgeon. I am thankful and grateful Dr Hollander is my orthopedic surgeon.

My visit with dr hollander was life changing, and life saving . I first met him in the operating room, however I was unconscious . I had broken my femur. after two weeks in the hospital i was moved to therapy in another part of the hospital, this lasted another two weeks. After a few visits dr hollander said i was good to return to my normal activity. doc said he could devise a plan for my knee replacement on the same leg that he had so cleverly repaired my femur. One year had passed since my femur and we scheduled my knee replacement , i am five weeks out since my knee replacement and i am doing wonderful. When i see the doc tomorrow I will thank him for giving me my life back. He is a great person and an excellent surgeon.

While here on vacation in Curtis, I needed a Doctor and the one that was close to me was in Newberry. They were surprisingly busy, but the ER Doctor made me feel like I was the only one there… Great service from all the staff, very caring. If you are in the Upper Peninsula and are in need of care, I recommend going to the Helen Newberry Joy hospital/ Urgent Care. To everyone that helped me, A Very Big Thank You!!

Dr Hollander Did my Total Hip Replacement when other Surgeons turned me down and gave excuses because I was taking the medication Suboxone. He understood it would take much more pain medication after surgery to manage my pain than a normal person because of the Suboxone. He was wonderful and wasn't afraid to deal with my special needs.The office staff and nurses were very kind, efficient and helpful. They are really good at what they do! My Hip is better than new! Dr. Sheppard has been the most caring, thorough doctor I've ever been to in my life. My kids love him and are not afraid of him like they are of other doctors. He actually sees his own patients in the hospital instead of referring to a hospitalist, he isn't afraid to refer to someone who might be better able to help you if he isn't sure of something. I couldn't ask for better (except maybe an office staff that cares more, but that's the hospital's problem, not his)
