It was a terrific conversation because we discussed both my health issues and things going on in my life that impact my health. I’m new to living here in Iowa ( I’m originally from Lincoln) and getting sick was not apart of my plan so my husband made a appointment at the Elkhorn Clinic and I got to meet Dr. Russell Marquardt and all I have to say is, he’s the cutest doctor I’ve ever met! He’s so soft spoken but you can definitely tell he knows what he’s talking about and firm with his words when he diagnoses you. He listened to all of my symptoms throughly and then he double checked my medical history to make sure he prescribed me medication that I wasn’t allergic too. Now after 3 days I feel a lot better. And don’t get me started on that cute pharmacy next door- yes next door! How convenient is that! I used to have to drive 15-20 minutes to get to my pharmacy back home. The pharmacist is so sweet and he made sure to throughly explain my prescriptions and how to take it. Even gave me tips on how to use my ear drops. Overall it was a great experience! I started going to Tina Flores about 3-4 months ago. I have seen her four times in this time period. She is so easy to talk with about anything. I mean even your darkest parts of life, if needed. She is very attentive, gets straight to a plan or refers you to someone to dive deeper into the issue. I never have to wait long and am usually greeted by the lovely, friendly and professional Rose. Rose, gets you right through the previsit details and it doesn't take long at all before Dr. Tina is with you. Dr. Anderson is truly amazing! My husband and I struggled with pregnancy loss and fertility issues and she was there for us every step of the way, from start to finish, to help us welcome our beautiful baby boy at Myrtue in March of 2022. The sneak peek ultrasounds at every visit helped to ease our nervous minds. She was so calm and reassuring during my labor and delivery. It was incredibly empowering, as a woman, to experience childbirth with an all female birthing staff supporting and encouraging me. My post-partum physical and mental care from Dr. Anderson was just exceptional. Her clinic nurse, Amber, is just as amazing! Dr. Anderson is the best. She takes time to thoroughly listen to your concerns and makes every visit- from a follow up conversation to an annual visit feel like a breeze. Kelly helped my husband and I threw one of the hardest times we've ever had. On December 21nd 2020 we found out I was having a molar pregnancy, Kelly and her wonderful team talked us threw everything from what a molar pregnancy was to what was happening and what needed to be done. On the 22nd Kelly and her team did a D&C. Everyone was so supportive and understanding. I truly am grateful to have had her help threw it all and the healing process. I have physical therapy next door to the Wellness Center. I brought my bathing suit in case I wanted to go swimming. I ended up swimming for four hours, I walked 20 laps in the lazy river, swam some laps, sat in the hot tub for 20 minutes, the water literally comes up to your neck and the jets were so powerful I felt like I died and was in heaven. Then I sat in the sauna for only about 10 minutes. I took a hot shower and was so relaxed, I haven't felt that relaxed in a long time. This pool is a no stair gradual decline into the water. There are stairs if you choose to use them. Jacuzzi and sauna room. Great place to take toddlers, it has a wonderful play in pool area. The exercise equipment are easy to figure out, with a piece of equipment for every body part. Basketball court. Zumba classes, aquatic classes, yoga, and more. The Petersen Family Wellness Center is a top notch fitness center. We are so blessed to have access to such a facility. I love going to the Aquatic Center.
