She took us through triage and got us prepared for the Nurse Practitioner. When I say she (The Nirse Practitioner) paid attention in class! She did just that! I was very pleased with the Nurse Practitioner. She was who I saw initially!!!! Her bedside manner was phenomenal. I then had to get an ultrasound and tech was great. I want to thank Dr. Alterman for fighting with the insurance on my mother’s behalf!!!! My mother is 85 yrs old and foot was turning black because she had no blood flow in her arteries from her growing to her knee which cause no circulation to her foot. The insurance felt she didn’t need the procedure, but thank God Dr. Alterman explained that she does and finally got the insurance company to approve and my mother had the procedure on 7/29/24 and she now has blood flow to her foot and doing great! As professional as one can be, Dr. Alterman helped save my life and saved my left leg. While attempting to harvest a vein for a 4x CABG, he discovered that my left femoral artery was scarred from a previous trauma to the point of 100% blockage, and performed a femoral bypass with a synthetic artery.This not only saved my leg, but improved my quality of life dramatically. After my fourth time of being in the hospital with eschemic colitis I was referred to Dr. Dias Perera. He performed a mesenteric angiogram and inserted a stent in the superior mesentery artery. All I had known for way over a year was pain and unpredictable diarrhea. I was like a prisoner in my own home. After Dr. Dias Perera inserted the stent I felt like a new women. I had my life back!! My name is Cal Borgman, prior to meeting Dr. Gupta there were two failed attempts at breaching the blockage. However Dr. Gupta assured me he could do it and he did, it took 6 hours to complete the surgery however I have regained the ability to walk further 30 ft. at a time in 8 years. Many broken promises from other surgeons , however when Dr. Gupta says he can and delivers on that promise he has granted me a new lease on life. Dr. Perera is an excellent doctor. I would recommend anyone needing his services as my top choice. My mother had undergone 17 surgeries in 15 months and was dying when she was airlifted to Memphis.
