I’d been having right knee pain for a while and went to Dr. Ruesch for a second opinion after I was told it was just a torn meniscus that needed repair. Let me tell you, he did a THOROUGH examination, looked at my MRI’s & X-rays, and flat out said he could do the repair, but that I would be back months later because it wasn’t going to fix the problem. I needed a total knee replacement. He was honest and straightforward about everything, and I really appreciated it. Had the procedure in September, and Dr. Ruesch has been present in every aspect of the healing process, to the point he always makes sure his patients have a direct line to him if we have any issues. He is both kind, professional, and really listens to his patients. While he says he can’t take all the pain away, he is always encouraging, and assuring that things will get better! 10/10, will continue recommending Dr. Ruesch and Eastside Orthopedics to anyone who needs ortho treatment. Quick note as well: his staff is also FANTASTIC! They were so helpful with the paperwork I needed done for work, and also make themselves available to answer my questions as well. In both my pre-op and post-op appointments he spent dedicated time discussing the mental and emotional challenges of this surgery and recovery and strategies to cope and heal. Then booked an OR in order to fix the break the day after I had met with him. Explained everything every step of the way. Dr Ruesch did a fantastic job of diagnosing my issue and discovered a different reason for the pain in my shoulder than my primary care doctor had thought. He did my surgery which ended up being removal of a fatty tumor near my bicep and as a result I regained full range of motion in my shoulder and with no pain anymore. He always took the time to explain everything thoroughly and answer any questions I had. I just have to say how happy I am with my outcome of my surgery with Dr. Gupta. I am 9 months post op and just got back this week from deer hunting and I was worried about all the hiking and uneven ground that I would be walking on. I honestly had an amazing recovery from the beginning. Little to no pain after the 1st week. During my time hunting I had no problems with my ankle that he removed scare tissue and repaired the severe sprain. I highly recommend Dr. Gupta. I love his knowledge and encouragement he would give. I have a close friend that had shoulder surgery done and was very satisfied, he recommended I see Dr. Kean. I had carpal Tunnel surgery done on my left hand, I could only play the guitar ten minuets at a time with out having to shake my hand out of numbness, now I can play all night long. I also fell off a ladder and tore my rotator cuff, and had surgery on June 2, 2021. It's now Nov.10th. Just had my last post-op appointment and Dr. Kean says I'm doing Great. Still doing PT at home as the recovery takes time. Dr. Kean and his staff get right to the point and make it easy to understand what's needed to make a full recovery. I had a great experience with Dr Kean and his PA-C Heather Beissinger. I had my shoulder repaired post a nasty dislocation by Dr Kean (Bankart Repair). The surgery was in and out and very professional. I was able to get in for surgery fairly quickly (within a few weeks). The office and surgery center both followed up with me and we got all the prescriptions in advance so I’d be ready to go which I really appreciated. Pre and post surgery I mostly saw Beissinger and she was great at clarifying my questions and ensuring I focused on the right outcomes of PT and surgery. I hope I don’t need to see an Orthopedic Dr again but if I do I will definitely be back to see Dr Kean and Beissinger. I had a very painful shoulder for 7 months that my primary doctor was not able to explain with X-rays and my insurance would not approve an MRI so I was referred to EOSM. I have had both Shoulders done by Dr Kean. I came back for the second one, because during the first one the problem wasn't what they thought it was originally. He was able to adjust the surgery on the fly to figure out what was causing my pain and fix it. I had very little recovery pain only needing the "super" aleve ( no heavy/strong meds). Still had to stretch out the scar tissue, but recovered very fast. I recommended Dr Kean to my boss who sent his wife in for her knee and foot. I recently had a torn ligament in my right shoulder reattached by Dr. Kean. This is my second surgery with Dr. Kean. The first time, he did surgery on a torn meniscus in my knee. Both surgeries were successful and now I am not really even certain which knee he fixed. He is very knowledgeable and professional and highly skilled. He also has a great bedside manner. Dr. Bret Kean and his PA Heather Beissinger treated me for a complicated shoulder injury. I broke the top of the humerus bone in a few places with a lot of soft tissue damage as well. They did my surgery on Nov. 19, 2019. Dr. Kean was very confident that he could do this surgery and the whole team did a wonderful job preparing me for the surgery and the recovery. The surgery of inserting a plate and 9 screws went very well and now after two follow up appointments with X Rays, we can see that the bones are healing well and settled into the correct placement.
