I had serious chronic sinus infections possibly caused initially by dental work. Dr. Lee was determined to fix the issues although the infections were very stubborn and I am allergic to the best antibiotics. I needed an ENT with vast experience, exceptional skills, and heart, and Dr. Lee more than fills the bill on all counts. I am happy to report that I am now infection-free due to this excellent doctor! The office staff is so competent, warm and friendly that you feel at home. Dr. Colegrove was able to examine and quickly diagnose and treat the cause of the sudden spontaneous bleeding from my right ear that arose mysteriously overnight. It was a great relief to me to be reassured by her That the source of the bleeding was a simple scratch with the bleeding exacerbated by my post- CABG surgery blood thinner prescriptions. Dr. Colgrove then went on to provide me many helpful suggestions for ear care in general and specifically if the bleeding should reoccur after the scab fell off.

Best practice I’ve been to in years. They’re efficient quick nice. Front desk customer Service was outstanding. Doctor, Nurses and doctor assistant were amazing and give you the right information and you don’t have to wait there like other doctors for 15 and 20 minutes and 30 minutes until Doctor comes in. We were in and out and treated under 40 minutes. I recommend everybody if you have any issues this is where you go.

My PCP referred me to Reston EMT and I was amazed at how fast I was able to schedule an appointment -- the best part was I didn't have to call them because they called me! Dr Hwang Listened and immediately got to work with a camera down my son's nose to check out his issue. It was so nice to have something done vs "go on this med for 3 months and come back" (which is what another dr had said) the camera provided feedback we could have never gotten from an exam. I was very pleased with my visit to Reston ENT and the service that Dr. Kennedy provided. He listened to my complaint and determined that I had an ear infection. He had the best equipment for extracting wax and discharge from my ear canal. No pain and no mess. He prescribed ear drops for me and it has not yet been a week to determine is that solved the problem, but it is certainly feeling better. I came in with a lot of nasal congestion (after trying to use over the counter remedies like eucalyptus), he told me that eucalyptus was actually making my congestion worse, as it has similar affects to Afrin. I got there and was taken back almost immediately after checking in. The front desk staff was very warm and welcoming. The MA who roomed me was kind and did a great job taking my history and explaining what to expect during my visit. The PA student who saw me was thorough and kind. I didn't have to wait long at all before Dr. Kennedy came in and based on the nature of my visit I needed a laryngoscopy that day and he was gentle, efficient, and thorough. What I loved most was that he very patiently took me through a video of what he saw during the laryngoscopy and he answered my questions and reassured me about my concerns without any feeling of being rushed or like I was being dismissed. I had an incredible experience. After visiting several ENTs I finally got answers as to why I have been having difficulty breathing. I had answers which is hard to say about a doctor’s office. Really the whole experience from appointment scheduling to check out was outstanding. Their online system was easy to use. Once I got to the office each staff member was unusually nice. When I arrived the waiting room was busy you could see a lot was going on, but the staff handled it very flawlessly and with kindness. I didn’t wait long. Ironically I had tried to make an appointment with a different ENT office and I’m still waiting for their AI to call me back and schedule an appointment. Here's my brief story: the day before my appointment I had a follow up appointment with a pulmonologist for asthma who prescribed Flonase for the aggravating and unremitting congestion I am suffering. I had a long-standing appointment with Dr. Hwang for a serious hearing loss, and I told him about the Flonase. His eyes widened and he said, "Ma'am, as a glaucoma patient you should not be taking Flonase because it contains a steroid." We had never mentioned glaucoma. Wonders! He must have prepared for my appointment and read my chart. Thank you Dr. Hwang, I will be recommending you enthusiastically to everyone.

Dr. Edwin Lee and his team were wonderful! He came highly recommended after two failed Functional Endoscopic Sinus Surgeries. He performed a Radiofrequency Ablation of the canal. 6 months later, it has not only been a complete functional success, but has also nearly corrected a cosmetic deformity from one of the prior surgeries. He did the procedure in one afternoon and there was very little downtime, far different than the surgery. I can finally breathe! Excellent practice, excellent procedure!

Dr. Hwang asked the right questions, was thorough. He went back an pulled an MRI from the computer system from when I was in the Emergency Room the night before and gave me a printed copy of the MRI report to give to my ophthalmologist the next day. The appointment was scheduled on short notice, because of my injury, but all went smooth. Reston ENT is great. Dr. Hwang is great. I've been using this ENT office for three years and no problems.

I have had sinus issues for some time now and finally made an appointment with Dr. Colgrove. After a through exam and CT scan she recommended removing several growths that were found. The surgery was scheduled by her staff which provided excellent care and advice through the whole process. I was able to breathe normally through my nose right after the surgery and the follow up care has been exemplary. I was going through an episode of chronic tonsillitis and abscesses that were recurring. Dr. Lee and his team immediately figured out what was wrong after being seen by multiple doctors who could not. This eventually lead to me receiving my first surgical procedure a tonsillectomy. At first it was nerve wracking, but Dr.Lee and his team at the operating room did a great job. Just 2 and a half weeks later I was back to normal and started to fall back into my old routine. They were also very flexible being able to see me whenever necessary, calling me if I had questions post-op, etc. I highly recommend receiving care from this practice.

I went in for a kind of niche neck issue, with a history of a separate complicating factor. Dr. Lee is the rare specialist that is both incredibly knowledgeable and also patient. I first met with Dr. Nicole Colegrove in Jan.2024. I was in need of reconstructive face surgery due to the result of extensive Mohs surgery for aggressive skin cancer. Dr. Colegrove was the most caring doctor from the very start. She explained everything to me and my husband using terms we both could completely understand! I underwent the surgeries and what she did has been absolutely amazing! I had to have 3 separate surgeries and today my face looks Great! I am still healing as this will take time. Every visit I've had (there's been a lot) she has been awesome going over step by step what I can expect during the healing process. She has never made me feel rushed, always listens to any and all questions I may have. I can honestly say she is 100% the best! I love that she is straight forward in not giving BS answers and is very truthful. I would highly recommend her if you are ever in need of this type of surgery, she will take great care of you guaranteed.

About a month ago, I was dealing with some pretty nasty nosebleeds. I saw two other ENTs, but nothing they did seemed to help. I was basically bleeding on and off for two whole weeks before I decided to give Dr. Kennedy a shot. I'll admit, I was a bit skeptical because he seemed pretty young and not super experienced. But I was wrong! He really took the time to check out my nose, zapped those problem areas with cauterization, and hooked me up with some meds. And the bleeding stopped like magic. Dr. Kennedy was very professional and patient with all my questions and concerns. Honestly, I can't recommend him enough.

I've had a deviated septum for ~40 years but no previous doctors, including ENTs, had mentioned it or that I might be able to breathe significantly better with surgery. I went to Dr. Kennedy to make sure a sinus infection was clearing up and that more antibiotics weren't actually needed, and while I was there he mentioned possible benefits of a septoplasty and turbinate reduction. I had the surgery about 3 months ago and I'm glad I did. Healing went pretty well and now I can breathe out of my nose instead of mouth while I sleep.

For many years, I have struggled with breathing, due to a severely deviated septum. Prior to deciding upon whether or not I would have a corrective surgery, I met with Dr. Kennedy. He and his medical staff, were so professional and patient with answering all of my questions and putting my concerns to rest. I was nervous before my procedure, but every single person (staff, doctor, nurse, etc.) that I interacted with at the surgical center was so kind, knowledgeable, and professional that I became almost excited to have this procedure despite being initially very nervous. From my end, this experience could not have gone more smoothly. My son has sever anxiety- I called him from my car and asked him if he could call us when it’s time for us to go to the room so he doesn’t have to sit in the waiting room - he got my copay over the phone and called us when it was time for us to go to the room I know how busy that from desk is and for him to be so considerate and kind to go out of his way to do that meant the world to me. When we went up, I noticed that he was the only one at the desk juggling all by himself and I appreciated it even more . The PA was super nice as my son wasn’t comfortable her cleaning his ear and asked for Dr Lee . I experienced ringing in one ear and muffled hearing on Monday this week. I went to my primary doctor and was referred to see an ENT after she found no evidence of infection in my ear. The doctor gave me a list of practices in the area so I called one of them, described my symptoms, and they said the soonest I could be seen was 6 weeks. I called Reston Ear, Nose, and Throat and described my symptoms and they put me on a brief hold and said they’d like to see my asap due to the sudden loss of hearing. This was Wednesday afternoon and they made my appointment for Friday at 8am. They said this warranted an expedited appointment. After the exam and hearing test, the doctor said it’s good that we caught it early (symptoms had just presented on Monday of that week). I’m hoping for a good outcome after treatment, but felt the doctor explained the possibilities very well with the knowledge they had. The whole staff from front desk, nurse, technicians, and doctor were all extremely attentive, helpful, reassuring, and kind. Based on my experience, I would recommend this practice. I will be back in a month for another hearing test and I don’t think my opinion will change :)

I had sinus surgery with Dr Hwang to fix my sinuses, because I got sinus headaches and also wanted to be able equalize better/more easily when I go scuba diving (I’m a regular diver). I had a 4-part surgery with Dr HWANG: 1) turbinate reduction, 2) balloon sinuplasty for my Eustachian tubes, 3) straightened my deviated septum, and 4) enlarged/ reshaped one of my right sinuses that was partially blocked and kept clogging. I had the surgery a few days ago, and I already feel a huge improvement in my sinuses. My head already feels clearer, my breathing is great, and I haven't had any sinus headaches like I used to get all the time. Best of all I'm in practically no pain! I’m laying in bed, on only day 5, already breathing in perfect breaths of air through both nostrils and my sinuses feel great. I’m excited! I also like that Dr Hwang listened and had a real, intellectual convo about the pros and cons of procedures, and ultimately helped but let me decide. It came out great!

I had sinus surgery with Dr Hwang to fix my sinuses, because I got sinus headaches and also wanted to be able equalize better/more easily when I go scuba diving. (For anyone who hasn’t gone but has the ability to go diving, I highly recommend it!). So it was a pretty involved 4-part surgery. I had the surgery a few days ago, and I already feel a huge improvement in my sinuses. My head already feels clearer and I haven’t had any sinus headaches like I used to get all the time. Best of all I’m in practically no pain! I know Dr Hwang is a really skilled ENT/surgeon because I had a similar surgery done when I was about 17 (unfortunately, senior year of HS sports/wrestling/ football messed that up so I needed it done again now at age 30). But back when I had it done at age 17, I was in way more pain than I was now post-surgery, and yet I only saw decent results. I think a mix of me doing a lot of research, plus listening to Dr Hwang, along with his good surgical skills, helped me have a really good outcome. I really recommend you use Dr Hwang for any sinus surgery or sinus needs, and I also recommend doing your research beforehand (with any doctor) so that you’re informed going into it… but also listen to the doctor… and personally I recommend having as much helpful stuff done as possible. I easily could’ve just had my septum fixed but I wanted all 4 procedures done. My ears, sinuses, etc all feel great and seem to be draining really well now, and no headaches at all. Totally worth every penny, so I recommend- if allowed/possible- getting all sinus problems fixed in one go The only thing I need to make sure of at the follow-up, is that my septum hasn’t re-deviated since the surgery somehow, which I don’t feel like it has but that’s always a theoretical risk. If it has, I’m confident Dr Hwang will help me fix that

Dr Colgrove has excellent communication skills and thoroughly explained a diagnostic procedure prior to using a video probe to examine my nasal cavity and larynx. A numbing spray was applied first and resulted in no discomfort. After the examination Dr. Colgrove explained the results and referred me to a Reston, VA Gastroenterologist for follow up. I highly recommend Dr. Colgrove, she is an exceptionally talented clinician with with a wonderfully positive attitude.

I am retired military so I tend to demand precision and excellence and I was very satisfied with my experience with Reston ENT. They have a safe and effective system to keep patients protected while the COVID-19 pandemic is still a threat. They also have an extremely easy to use Patient Portal that minimizes filling out forms when you arrive and allows you to communicate with office staff. When I arrived I was prompted to come to an examination room within 5 minutes of arriving and a Medical Assistant came soon thereafter. After that a Physicians Assistant (PA) Laura met with me and performed an examination and procedure professionally and proficiently. She was an excellent listener and explained everything she was doing. After meeting with Laura, Dr. Colgrove met with me and reviewed the results of my examination and procedure and the next steps. Dr. Colgrove explained everything clearly and made me feel comfortable with the process. The office staff was also friendly and helpful and explained how to get the imaging scheduled I needed next door at Reston Hospital. After a miserable weekend with one nostril packed to stop a persistent nosebleed; I followed up with Dr. Hwang at the Reston office. I went to see Dr. Lee because of having had chronic sinus blockages and sinusitis/bronchitis for several years that didn't respond to heavy doses of antibiotics. He performed a BALLOON SINUPLASTY™, on me, which is a minimally-invasive method of treating sinus problems. The procedure was inpatient, brief, and left me with almost no pain or discomfort. It was almost miraculous how that procedure has totally resolved the chronic infections and best of all my hearing is so improved that I rarely feel the need to wear hearing aids. I cannot recommend him (and his staff) highly enough for "bedside manner", professionalism, and skills. I only wish someone had suggested this several years ago when the blockage was first identified!

I find Dr. Huang to be highly professional, personal, and concerned, and so far the easy, lost-cost solution he suggested for a chronic problem I've been having has been working. Since I recently had to choose a new insurance plan from among the few he doesn't accept, so I've even asked him if he could arrange to start taking it so that I could continue making appointments with him as my ENT specialist when needed.

I visit dr. Lee with cough which I had for two month. He was able to accurately diagnose my issue and did it in the office after some testes performed. My issue was not connected to the throat or nose, and he still found the reason. He gave me a stomach medication which started helping and working two-three days after the visit. I recommend this doctor a lot.

Reston ENT came highly recommended. I recently visited Dr. Lee due to vertigo that was increasingly getting worse. He was able to accurately diagnose my issue and did an in office treatment during my visit that made me feel better right away and I have not had vertigo since. I highly recommend. Office staff was friendly and efficient as well.

Dr. Hwang is the best! As an ICU nurse, I worked with him for years so when it came time to find the right ENT for me, it was easy. He has great bedside manner, listens, cares, and is super smart. My sinus surgery was pretty extensive and I came through it perfectly with no bleeding or bruising. Amazing! I have never seen such a high tech, organized and on time office! Very friendly front desk, very efficient scheduling. Emily, the PA was extremely professional and courteous! Dr. Kim, the audiologist too was professional and courteous. They explained to me the results of the audiogram in a simple manner and never pushed me to purchase any hearing aids etc. from them. I definitely will visit them for any ENT issues. My child had a bead stuck in his nose when he was 4 years old. Dr. Hwang had a really great bedside manner for our child and was able to make the experience fun and something to laugh about. We were really happy that the outcome was good and would highly recommend him to anyone with younger children. Also, my wife wasn't able to hear out of one ear, so on a separate occasion, we visited Dr. Hwang and he was able to carefully remove some impacted earwax and all was good. Highly recommend him!

Dr. Edwin J. Lee is by far the best ENT doctor in the Herndon, VA area. Dr. Lee diagnosed my nasal and allergy problems quickly. After having nasal surgery I haven't felt this good in years.
