I really appreciate having this clinic more than words can express. It’s my first go to when needed. They are so fast, thorough, understanding, professional, knowledgeable, and caring. The same goes for the XRAY tech and receptionists. They sets the tone of the visit. They were professional and respectful. Unbelievable how quickly they get you in and out without rushing your visit. I’m amazed how quickly I can get help and treatment needed to get me through pain and orthopedic issues that do not require surgery. EXCELLENT experience here the day after Christmas! I had a shoulder injury that just wouldn't heal for 3-4 weeks and went to this clinic for the first time. The wait time was a little long, but was to be expected the day after Christmas. The staff was professional, courteous, communicative, and very nice and fun. The Xray tech saw me first and she was extremely thorough and also apologetic of the wait time and explained that they had an unusual amount of patience that day (again, understandable). When I got to see NP George Crouse, I had one of the best visits I've ever had for a medical issue honestly. He was funny, communicative, talkative, had read my whole previous chart of history already, explained my issue clearly and very thoroughly, gave me options for initial treatment (which I took a shot in the shoulder that day), explained options for further treatment steps should this initial treatment not correct the issue, and administered a shot into my shoulder/rotator cuff in a manner that a nearly did not even feel it. This is what all medical staff should strive to be. My wife was with me and he made it fun for her by letting her watch the injection (it was from behind) and met her on her level as well during the visit. My husband and I cannot say enough good things about LOS in Scott. The front desk was so helpful from the first phone call made through our intake and even a subsequent visit. Kelly Becnel PA gave the absolute best care of my husband, even though we were only in town as visitors to attend a few festivals. It means the world when medical practitioners listen to what one is experiencing and even what a patient thinks will help. Although this can be a rarity, it isn't with Kelly. She took volumes of time and gave the best care possible to help my husband with acute, out of control sciatic pain and subsequent knee pain. She went completely out of her way to do the impossible: to find a facility that would provide physical therapy not only that afternoon, but close to where we were staying in Lafayette. I’ve had big pain and big joint surgeries, starting at the young age of 30. Years of pain, which I fixed. I saw Dr. Fruge for a new injury, and I believed that I already knew what to do to manage pain. Chronic pain interferes with your daily life, and can make one frantic and suffer badly. It is scary. It’s something that has to happen to you, to understand. Dr. Fruge is the only pain doctor I’ve seen in 11 years who’s sat with me and come up with the best and most conservative plan that I could easily understand. He calmly took the time to explain to me how to manage pain at all times, with the thoughtful use of conservative medications and interventional treatment. He did so without prescribing narcotics. If you’ve ever had alot of real pain, you know that they don’t really work for daily use. That can also feel so scary. But, Dr. Fruge is very smart. I don’t say that easily. TL;DR: Call and ask for (NP) George Crouse's rotation and availability and go in to see him! George Crouse (NP) is *THE DUDE* you want to have in your corner! Hands down the best medical professional experience I've ever had. I wish he were a primary care physician because I enjoyed discussing my observations, his expertise, and treatment options that much! I would be his patient for life. He treated my like a human being, he didn't behave as though he had 9000 more patients to get through and he just needs to get them in and out the door, listened to everything I had to say, supported my ideas and supplied his own, and was very clear and straightforward about strategies and a willingness to work towards an ultimate solution regardless of how many things do / don't work. I was desperate for some answers on whether I had a debilitating injury that needed surgery, or if I had something relatively normal (despite disparaging crushing pain) that can be cleared up with relatively conservative approaches. He reinstated hope and assured me that we will find a solution no matter the approach, no matter how my body may respond differently compared to other people / more common solutions, and that I should absolutely live my life to the fullest despite the pain making me truly believe that the world is on fire and my days of 'ableness' are numbered. In a world where doctors are an absolute nightmare to deal with, find his rotation days and come and see him. I know I'm just some dude on the internet, but trust me when I say this is a worthy option. His level of professionalism, respect, and humanity are off the charts and are almost unheard of in a medical professional capacity. While he is an NP, and he may very well not be the final medical professional that you end up with in the end, he is definitely an extremely worthy person to guide your path. If enjoy the misery of random doctor nightmares, keep seeing whoever you end up with; otherwise come see this guy! I am 100% serious. I will be seeing him for everything orthopedic related as my base camp and starting point. If I could give him more stars, I would. Thank you, George Crouse. I slipped and fell Tuesday hurting my back, elbow and knee. Unfortunately I was in another state when I did so and didn’t seek any medical help. I drove straight to Orthopedic Urgent Care from that state today. I was seen right away as soon as my paperwork was completed. The WHOLE staff is AMAZING!! They made me feel comfortable and answered any concerns i had. I was given a shot in my hip & knee to help with the inflammation and pain. I felt nothing when both shots were given. Which was an amazing thing as I usually feel some pain. Dr. Jamie is beyond AMAZING!! She gave me the shot in my knee. I would definitely recommend her for any orthopedic emergencies. My experience was excellent. Jamie was patient, listened and asked great questions and gave me great directions. I was given a steroid shot and 2 prescriptions were sent to my pharmacy. This is my second visit to this location. I have used it for non emergency issues that I needed to get guidance on. Both times I have been seen by Kristin Boudreaux. The staff is great and Kristin is very knowledgeable plus takes the time to discuss things with you. This is a great place to go to get a chronic muscular or skeletal issue evaluated. It’s quick, not any more costly than a doctors visit and if you do need to be seen by a doctor, they will get you set up with the correct specialist for your condition. I visited the clinic on 07/09/2024. Both knees were aching and I was really discouraged, My mind was made up to lose this weight so I can move around better. My knees wouldn’t let me because I was in serve pain. When Jamie walked in the room her personality gave me hope. I just knew my prayers had been answered. She administer the medication with calmness. She answered any questions that I had and even the ones that I was thinking about asking. Note I’m sixty four years old with rheumatoid arthritis and I sometimes I just bear the pain but after meeting with Jamie after the first 5 seconds I knew help was here. In fact I couldn't run around at all because my knee was super swollen and fluid filled making me limp everywhere I went with a big bah-ben, on my face, me! Also important, at least for me, was her calming of my anxiety throughout the exam as I was very concerned my issue would be serious. Went to the clinic for a shoulder issue. I did an x-ray and saw George. He provided initial course of treatment and steroid shot into the shoulder. He did a tricky job with the injection. Even though the whole staff had to leave their normal workspace and relocate to the LOS main facility, they took it all in stride and she greeted me with a professional demeanor, not referring to their challenges. She was locked in to me and my shoulder issues, had looked at the X-Rays and did a complete exam, asking questions while doing her diagnosis. I learned so much about my rotator cuff situation because of her diagnostic skills, and her ability to help me understand the rotator cuff and the surrounding muscles . This will greatly help me to decide if I will do more shoulder surgery. She stress the importance of the exercises and was able to get me an MRI quickly scheduled.. The entire staff was great, from the front desk through the end of the process. The wait was short and the appointment was handled efficiently. I did however, follow their website advice by filling my paperwork out prior to my arrival. I know that reduced my appointment time by at least the time it took me to fill the paperwork out. The whole staff at LA ortho urgent care took excellent care of my son! 12 years old with his first broken bone, you could imagine how upset and concerned he was with what the visit would be like. The receptionist was friendly and quick with getting us the help we needed. Stacey Prather came to the front waiting room to explain what we would be doing to help ease our minds. Within minutes in the back she had already examined the X-rays and had a game plan, she sat with my son and thoroughly explained every move she was about to make so that he was comfortable. Was having some knee pain and thought it was the same issue as two years ago. I go to Orthopedic Urgent Care on Amb. Caffery. The PA, Kira was excellent. It wasn’t what I thought it was… she drew several CC’s of fluid from my knee and gave me a cortisone shot and I’m almost pain free already! Kira is great. We have had to see her two different occasions and I have nothing bad to say. She is very knowledgeable and her bed side manner is on point. On our first visit, the X-ray did not show anything but because of the “location” of the injury she knew we needed to be referred to a specialist who took another X-ray and found the fracture. A fracture that because of the location of the bone does not always show up in an X-ray until a week or so after the injury. And the second occasion was nothing as serious as the first but she gave us great advise on how to treat the issue. Hopefully we never need to go again but if we do, we will be asking for her. ALSO, I didn’t catch the name of the sweet receptionist, nursing assistant or X-ray tech but they were all fabulous!!!Patient Submitted Review

I was very impressed with the warmth and kindness shown by everyone that I had contact with from when I came to the door until the time I left. The office closes at 8:00pm and I didn’t leave until after 8:15pm. I was made to feel very comfortable with the not only the knowledge of the PA, but her compassion as well. Both the PA and the receptionist never made me feel rushed because they were staying late. I would most certainly will go back to this Urgent Care for any orthopedic needs I may have in the future.
