UPDATE: 9 years later I re injured myself. Guess who I came back to? Just like before he did an amazing job restoring my way of life repairing my back with 2 herniated disc this time! Can’t tell you enough how grateful I am to have a doctor like him in our area of North Texas! After fighting sever back pain from a bulged disc for over a year Dr. Brezina made it all better. Cannot say enough good things about Dr. Gary Driver. He has corrected a foot surgery another surgeon messed up. I went back to him to do a minimally invasive bunion surgery on the other foot after that. And he gave me back my range of motion (which the first awful Dr caused me to lose) by nicking my Achilles tendon. Everything he has done has been fantastic. Dr. Walker offered me an option another Surgeon from another practice did not. I had a “buckle handle” tear to my lateral meniscus. He said he could sew up , so I could keep my cartilage rather than have the torn part removed. The rehab and PT is longer, but that was a good trade off & I was willing to put in the time & effort. It has been 4 months and I am back to dancing 2 hours versus my normal 3 hours once a week. The knee is slowly & steadily getting a little stronger each week, with the assistance of some sort of daily exercise or PT. I expect to make a full recovery and I have no knee pain. This is my second procedure with this doctor and it was a major rework of the foot, total reconstruction of the bone structure to walk normal with heel to toe movement. I have had three Podiatrists that have looked at the issues with my feet from a childhood injury. All three Fort Worth area doctors were great and are all still in practice as of today. My first visit was at age 34 with 1st doctor, second doctor and visit at age 46 total reconstruction of right foot, eight hour procedure. I am 52 year old now and Doctor Gary Driver has been my podiatric surgeon for three years and just recently completed reconstruction of my left foot, a 3 hour procedure. And now recovery is in the process. Dr. Driver is a great listener, allowed me to explain my issue, he explained what he could do and told to me what his plans were to correct my left foot issue. He waited three years until I was ready for surgery, mean while medically caring for issues that would arise from bone misalignment. Overall highly recommend, by my thoughts will probably be one of the most highly sought-after podiatric surgeon. He has a combination of medical knowledge, surgical skills, communication abilities. I had a severely torn left rotator cuff and a severed bicep muscle at the time I went to see Dr. Meyers. I could not lift my left arm and it was numb, with little to no feeling or strength. Dr. Meyers performed a stem cell procedure on me in January 2025. 1 month after treatment, I had no pain, full range of motion, and 50% of my strength back. As of now, 4 months later, I have 95% of my strength back. I play golf 2 times a week. This is a miracle to me. I have had nothing but positive experiences over the past 10 years at Texas Bone & Joint. The medical and surgical teams are the very best any patient could ever hope for, and on the physical therapy side of the clinic, the exact same thing could be said. The professionalism, the bedside manner, and genuine care and concern demonstrated by the entire team at this clinic is what makes this place truly special. I most recently met with Dr. Brezina, the spine specialist at the clinic. Although I have a team of doctors at a Fort Worth oncology center who have been overseeing the care for my breast cancer that has recently metastasized to my spine, until now, no one has given me a clearer picture and detailed explanation of what my recent diagnosis truly means than Dr. Brezina. Although Dr. Brezina is not an oncologist, he is a spine specialist, and it was he who took the time to review the scans with me in a way for me to finally understand my diagnosis fully. Only after seeing Dr. Brezina about this latest development with my cancer did I feel at ease about where I am and what lies ahead. If you have any discomfort on your shoulder, I highly recommend Dr Lee. I went to Dr Lee for severe pain in my shoulder where I just knew they were going to recommend surgery of which I didn’t want. He listened to all my concerns and although surgery was an option that would remove the pain, he agreed the last resort should be surgery after you’ve exhausted all treatment options. He recommended I have a Plasma Rich Platelets(PRP) injection first to see if my shoulder would heal on its own. Not only is he technically highly knowledgeable, he also takes the time to discuss in (layman's terms), his findings, suggestions for treatment, etc. He also has the greatest bedside manner I've ever experienced with a Physician. He does not rush into surgery, unless needed. I am, at the time of writing this review, 62 years of age. I am very active, and wanted to continue to stay that way. I was having serious issues and a lot of pain in my dominant (right), shoulder. Dr. Lee suggested several tests to determine the exact problem, before rushing into a diagnosis and treatment options. After testing he explained the results, explained the options and allowed me to make the best decision for me. Dr. Lee performed a total shoulder replacement on my right arm. He personally called to check on me after surgery several times, gave me his cell number and encouraged me to call anytime I needed to talk to him. 3 months later, no more pain, and 95% back to full use! I was having fluid on my right knee that didn’t respond to a steroid shot and fluid that returned after draining. After an MRI, it was determined that I would be a good candidate for PRP. Two months later, my knee is much improved. There is no more fluid on my knee and I have very good range of motion. I have been to Dr Steven Meyer’s several times each time with great results. The most recent has been severe hip pain, lower back pain where I can hardly get out of bed in the morning. I met Dr. Driver after experiencing a post surgical fall resulting in an open compound fracture to my foot. I had shoulder pain/arthritis from work-outs that got subsequently worse with radiation treatments I was receiving that required me to hold my arm in an awkward positions for long periods of time. A friend of mine referred me Dr. Meyers for a PRP treatment for my tennis elbow. Dr. Meyers fully explained my options. We started with physical therapy and I had a lot of relief but it wasn’t enough. The next step was a PRP treatment using my own platelets to repair my torn tendons. Definitely a doctor and procedure to look into! I had a torn meniscus from a running injury; it cause swollen knee and significant pain. Dr. Meyers was very thorough in showing me the MRI, answering all my questions, and listing my treatment options. I felt heard and not rushed. I decided on the stem cell injection -- one into the joint and another into the bone. Two different infections one month apart. All very manageable pain-wise. The joint injection requires 10-day no weight bearing, but the bone has a shorter recovery time. I started physical therapy 1 or 2 months after the last procedure. Very nice and convenient to have physical therapy in the same building. Everyone was wonderful and easy to work with from the receptionists, to the nurse, to Dr. Meyers, as well as all the physical therapy staff. I went to see Dr Meyers for some ongoing wrist pain. It turned out to be a fractured scaphoid that didn’t show up on any xrays. He was able to identify the issue and treated it in a manner which was about as positive as a broken bone can be. I had back surgery March 18, 2019. This would be my second back surgery, the first was back in 2005. The first surgery was a laminectomy fusion on L4, L5. & S1. done by a different doctor. My first experience with Dr. Meyers was excellent, educational and beneficial. My knee, unknown to me, was swollen and extremely painful. After years of progressively worsening back pain, my primary doctor encouraged me to see Dr. Brezina. He is conservative and suggested trying other options (therapy and injections) first but neither gave permanent relief and I had lumbar fusion surgery to correct a herniated disk and other issues 3 months ago. Despite 12 previous orthopedic operations (knee & shoulder; competitive sports can do that), I was very tentative about having this done. The results have been amazing ….. pain was gone immediately, I was walking 3+ miles/day in less than a month, and the majority of range of motion has now returned. I could not be more impressed with Dr. Brezina from all aspects and have already referred several people with similar issues to see him.
