Amazing surgeon and team, couldn’t be happier with my outcome! I’m truly grateful for Dr. Tal David and his entire staff. This is my second rotary cuff surgery , Dr David repaired my torn Supraspinatus on my left shoulder 5 years ago . This time I was back for my right shoulder . From start to finish, they were professional, compassionate, and incredibly responsive and supportive. My pre-surgery diagnosis included a right shoulder rotator cuff tear with deep retraction and atrophy ( so much so he needed to attach cadaver tendon), right shoulder biceps tendon partial tearing, and right shoulder impingement. At 8 weeks post-surgery, I’m happy to report than I’m doing remarkably well, I have full range of motion and have regained about 50% of my strength ( w zero pain). My progress has been nothing short of amazing and I’m confident that with continued PT ( put the work in!!) and healing I’ll be fully recovered within the next 4-6 weeks. Kudos to team David!! If you’re looking for an outstanding surgeon and a truly excellent staff, I highly recommend Dr. Tal David. 🙏🙏 These photos are from the first two weeks of surgery . In other words, we all know that surgeons cut, but when I saw him yesterday, he didn’t believe that another surgery would be beneficial for me, therefore, he hooked me up with a PT that he used for his own daughter, And he hooked me up with a stem cell/biologic doctor. After seeing another local doctor and not liking him, and seeing another doctor virtually in LA, I was glad to find Dr. Grotting. He was thorough in diagnosing me without jumping into surgery as the first option. He worked with me on alternate solutions and eased my concerns. I'm 45 M and Dr Grotting did my ACL-R last year with a quad autograft. I only waited 12 days from my the time of my injury to the OR - I went in with my MRI and I was put on the OR schedule the same day as my appointment. With Dr Grotting I could start rehab right away and not waste any time. Today I was cleared for all sports and my operated leg feels better and stronger than my other leg (also with ACL-R from different surgeon). While the recovery is non-linear, and there are ups and downs, Dr Grotting was always there to get me over the hump. The end result got me back to all the sports I love with no compromises. I'd like to point out that while other doctors may say "you're too old, take up golf / get an allograft / be happy you can walk"... Dr Grotting was always focused on getting me back to highly demanding sports like wrestling, jiu jitsu, trail running and surfing. He never used my "old age" as an excuse to why I couldn't continue doing those sports. I'd rarely recommend any doctor, but Dr Grotting deserves a glowing review. I met Dr. Daniel BRERETON after my fall and shoulder dislocation. He put my shoulder back in place. After analyzing my MRI, he suggested surgery to have a strong shoulder again. My SLAP surgery went very well. After that, my physical therapy that followed also went very well. In my post operative consultations with Dr. Berenton, he reviewed my progress and throughly explained my progress. At the end of my care and when released back to work, I had full mobility, no pain and a strong shoulder again. It was like nothing ever happened before. I saw Dr. Myers last year, way after I hurt my knee and it has never healed after 6+ years. Well, havent been able to figure it out, however, last year, I slipped in a tub and injured my shoulder. I have been an athlete my whole life and I have pushed myself to the extreme over and over. Dr David has performed more surgeries on my body parts than I would rather count. I am also in the medical field and had the opportunity to work with 30 years worth of orthopedic physicians. He is the best. I had surgery by Dr. Grotting 3 years ago for a meniscus injury. Before the surgery, the doctor was very friendly and took the time to explain everything. After the surgery, I felt almost no unbearable pain, the wound was perfect without any bleeding, and I was able to walk freely a week later (of course, I had to cooperate with the postoperative rehabilitation exercises). I should have continued to have him follow up treatment, but I had to return to my hometown for personal reasons. I went back to my hometown for a follow-up MRI follow-up treatment. Dr. Grotting repaired my broken patella and performed a subsequent surgery to remove the hardware once my patella had healed. Throughout the year and a half I have been under his care I have been thoroughly impressed with the depth of his knowledge, his skill at healing his patients, and the compassion he has demonstrated for his patients and their family. When I broke my knee at work I was unable to walk and was terrified that I would be unable to return to my normal way of life. I did not know how to decide which company and surgeon to choose. Luckily for me, I found my way to Synergy Orthopedic Specialists Medical Group. I have now had 4 surgeries with Dr. David. The procedures he's performed on me are listed below: *Laterjet *ACL *Collarbone ORIF *Hardware removal Since both my laterjet and ACL surgeries, I have not had any problems with stability in my shoulder and knee. I have been able to return to the activities I love and not have to think a ton about being limited. The other two procedures very smooth and haven't had a ton of issues. In my interaction with Dr. David, he's been very personable and makes a point to understand your desires post op and tailor his treatment accordingly. Dr Myer performed a shoulder surgery on me. He is professional, calming and reliable. My surgery went off without a hitch and I am back to life without pain! There was more to be done than the scans showed and Dr. Myer completed all repairs with a comprehensive report including photos of all damage and the repairs inside. Dr. Meyer is a excellent orthopedic surgeon. In my situation (broken clavicle) I was able to get an appointment the next day and the necessary surgery 3 days later. He explains the preocedure he is performing in detail including all the options. He provides all the risks and complications that could occur during the procedure and what expect after the procedure. He is understanding and easy to talk with. His staff is also very friendly, informative and helpful. They provided me with excellent pre and post-procedure care. Dr Tal David is hands down the best orthopedic surgeon in San Diego. I have had many surgeries from many doctors over the years and Dr David has been the best of them all
