My story is so long I can't put it all on here .I'm just so thankful I was referred to Doctor Wilson for a 2nd Opinion from a friend that had been seen by Dr Wilson as a patient also. Great job from Dr Wilson and his staff. Doctor Wilson is a doctor that listens to you when your explaining your pain. You can tell he cares about his patients when he enters the room he speaks shakes your hand sets down and let's you talk he doesn't rush in rush out he takes the time he needs. Before leaving the room he shakes your hand tells you call us if you need us. I'm very happy with Dr.Wilson no complaints at all. His PA Chris is awesome. He also he comes in with Dr.Wilson and you can tell he takes his job serious and is very respectful and helpful to the patients. He returns phone calls very quickly. I have no complaints at all. The staff at front desk is very nice they greet you with a smile and a hello they respect the patients. Setting in the lobby I never heard anyone complaining about having to set there so long waiting to see the Doctor at either gadsden or rainbow city offices . I am a nurse at a busy local hospital. Dr Wilson is one of our Orthopedic Surgeons. I am also a patient due to my House Supervisors, Ortho Charge nurses and too numerous patients to count high recommendation of him. When I started seeing Dr Wilson about intense pain and neuropathy in my knee and leg that another local Orthopedic physician that was recommended just brushed off and refused to prescribe any sort of pain medication because I refused to have a hip replacement without even doing an MRI. Dr Wilson sat down with me and listened intensely, made me feel at ease and sent me straight for an MRI. He treated me with such kindness, along with his staff, which are also the best. He saw that my knee had a torn meniscus and ACL was hanging on by threads. Dr Wilson scheduled surgery and during the whole process I had the best care from him of any surgery I have ever been through with minimal pain. I would never use anyone else again. He sits down and talks to you..doesn't just come in and say a few quick things and leave..If you have questions he answers them all til you have all the answers you need before you leave. My sister referred me to Dr. Ryan ; he had did her hips and knee surgeries and she was very pleased. I’m so happy she did. When I went to see Dr Ryan , I was in extreme pain and my legs were numb, I found comfort in no position. He did X-rays and determined my 3-4-5 lumbar needed surgery; He did the surgery and the pain was so much better and continued to improve throughout my 7 weeks of recovery. I am pleased to say my sutures are almost invisible , so I can continue with sundresses . I am very pleased with my outcome. He and his staff were very kind and understanding of my need . I had my first knee replacement while living in MD 6 years ago and was apprehensive to have my other one done after moving to Rainbow City because the first one went so well. I decided to go to Dr. Wilson at NEO and after trying the injections with no relief, it was time to replace the other knee. At my 2 week post surgery checkup, my knee bend was 138 degrees!! Needless to say, my second surgery went even better than the first one. I would HIGHLY recommend Dr. Lee Wilson to everyone that needs a knee replacement. I can't say enough good things about him. He is a wonderful surgeon, i can barely see a scar on my right wrist. And i just had my left wrist done for carpel tunnel and he was wonderful! He has the best personality and bed side manner, it feels like he's your friend and doctor! You can tell he really cares about improving your quality of life. After many years of shoulder pain, I decided to get it repaired. Dr Wilson took X-Ray’s, ordered a MRI and diagnosed an extensive tear in my Rotator Cuff and severed / retracted tendon, which he repaired on 12-3-2020. Having been through surgery many years before on the other shoulder, I kinda knew what to expect. The surgery was perfect as well as the Physical Therapy but more importantly is the compassion, care and concern that was exhibited by Dr Wilson and his staff. This was a much better experience that my previous surgery over 10 years ago thanks to Dr Wilson & staff. Without any reservations, I would use him again, advise my family and friends to use him and truly appreciate his dedication to his patients. After 3 years of cortisone and Symvisc injections it was time to replace the knees. Double knee replacement December 2018 after rehab and physical therapy I returned to work April 1. Urgent Care with 12 hour days. I made it through beautifully. If I had to do it again, double replacement is the way to go. One and done! Thank you Dr Wilson for being caring and compassionate.
