What a nice experience from the moment I checked in with a friendly staff memberto the nurse who sent me down and got my blood pressure and X-rays …then after a short wait the doctor, I could not believe my wait was so short, He greeted me with eye contact, and a smile and then to business where we both agreed we’d. do everything before surgery, so grateful!! and then a nice experience, checking out where a young lady actually offered me a closer option to a different office. I will make this drive to this office just because of the friendly staff and the excellence of this Dr.

I met with Dr. Reed and found him to be very professional and down to earth. He was extremely thorough in explaining the process of a knee replacement and how therapy should go. He answered all of my questions and I never felt rushed during our conversation. I am very excited to get through this surgery, recover, and move onto the next knee. While in pre admission testing at Grandview there were approximately 3 other patients of Dr. Reed that were also undergoing knee replacements and spoke very highly of him. I now know why. His bedside manner is phenomenal!

Fairborn OASWO is an excellent location for orthopedic care for me. The doctors there are excellent, well trained, very professional, and have good bedside manners. I have had surgery by one so far (Dr Gleason) and he is awesome! He did a fantastic job on my left wrist and elbow, actually performing 4 surgeries at one time, saving me tons of money!! My recovery was excellent and my symptoms have vanished. I am now getting ready for reverse shoulder replacement by Dr Reed. I feel very comfortable with him and have heard good things about his skill level. The overall staff there is very good at calling back and providing info, etc. Total joint surgeries are done at Grandview Hospital, and they have a terrific, well organized process for getting you ready for your operation all in one one place on one 3 hour block of time, which includes any lab, xray, total joint class, vital signs, and a physical exam by the hospital doctor for clearance and ok for surgery.Patient Submitted Review

One of our daughters recently injured her knee and was referred to Dr. Reed. I’m also a patient of his, so I was able to ease her mind by telling her ahead of time what his “bedside manner” was like. He didn’t disappoint. He explained what her knee had done and needed, what he was going to do to help it heal, and what the next step was. She’s new to the team she’s on, as well as the sport itself. Dr Reed got her an injury specific knee brace and okayed her to participate (as long as she wears her brace), stated her limitations (basically not to overdo it), and ordered further testing before setting up her follow up. She’s excited to not only be able to practice with her teammates again, but also that she can bend her knee again (referring dr had her in an immobilizer as a precaution. He’s able to communicate well with not only adults, but teens as well (she’s still got a lot of “kid” in her). She wasn’t nervous one time during the appt (usually a very anxious kid). 6 weeks post op visit for my hip replacement surgery done by Dr. Reed. My hip feels amazing, my pain is gone!!I wish I would not have put it off for so long, but Dr. Reed said I would know when I was ready, and when I was ready, he put everything in motion. I did try cortisone shots for a while and when those no longer worked I had to make a decision about surgery. The whole process from start to finish including all pre op appointments were flawlessly coordinated by Dr. Reed and his staff along with Grandview hospital!! He took the time to answer all of my questions and concerns, as it is a big decision, I was ready for surgery! He explained all of my options for treatment of my knees both surgically and non-surgically. I received a total left hip replacement 5-23-2017. CHAD REED, DO, formerly of Reid Health in Richmond, IN, was my surgeon. He is highly skilled! He has an excellent bedside manner, explains procedures very well & follows up thoroughly with his patient's. I am very greatful he was my surgeon. His patient's aren't just a patient to him. I was told I had a SLAP tear. There was not a doctor in my town that did the surgery for a full repair. I was referred to Dr. Reed. As with anyone I had never had any major surgery and had no idea of what to expect. So with a bunch of questions in my head and my wife with hers we headed to his office for consultation. He was ahead of us and told us exactly what was going to happen from pre surgery to post operation check up. He was spot on on all of it. I figured I would have more pain after surgery than I did but the pain was nagging but minimal. I had 4 anchors put in and three days after surgery I only used the meds to sleep at night. He is straight forward and tells you what's gonna happen. That's what I look for. Someone to shoot me straight. On top of this I do want to mention his surgical staff at Southview Hospital in Dayton was great even after I got a little rude with one of them after surgery. My over all experience has left me happy and I would not change a single thing through out my entire process. So a big thank you to him and his staff as well as his Assistant. I had a knee replacement done 1 year ago by Dr. Reed. I have absolutely nothing but good things to say about him. He was such a caring Doctor leading up to the surgery and even more so after.
