I sought Dr. Robon out 10 years ago when I needed surgery on my hand as he came highly recommended with great credentials. My experience was awesome then and I regained full use and range of motion in my hand. Fast-forward a decade and I managed to break the same darn hand in 4 different places. I requested to see Dr. Robon again for surgery and it was the same great experience. Dr Robon himself is great and has wonderful bedside manner but truly the whole Proliance staff, at least the ones that are a part of his team, are wonderful throughout the whole process. They are very warm and welcoming and really feel like they care about the comfort of their patients. It's still a surgery center, but the atmosphere they create makes it feel as much like a luxury experience as it possibly can. It's amazing how all of this can really make or break your experience on the day of surgery. 11/10, highly recommended this doctor and this facility although I am sure hoping I can keep my hand together going forward and won't have to utilize his services again!Patient Submitted Review

I had a torsion fracture of 2 and 3 metacarpal bones. My middle finger moving onto my ring finger with a click sound every time I was making a fist. Other surgeons suggested to either keep it as is or put a plate into my hand. I asked Dr. Robon to avoid installing a plate because I wanted to do active sports in low temperature. He managed to do an excellent surgery with eight pins in my hand fixing both bones. Since then, I fully recovered very quickly and feel like my hand was never broken. I first met Dr. Robon when my five year old daughter fell off our playset monkey bars and broke her wrist. I had a broken wrist bone from a fall and wanted THE BEST team in range of Seattle/Bellevue/Kirkland. I chose Dr. Robon specifically for the thumb and wrist reviews after looking at reviews for 30 to 100 orthopedic doctors at Swedish, Harborview, NWH, UW, Polyclinic, and private practices. My major concern was I may need a surgeon in case the wrist wasn't aligning properly given it was my primary hand and I use it for everything. When I asked he shared with me what he thought would be the best option for my situation and why. After that he left the decision without any pressure up to me. Dr. Robin restored my tendons to pre-injury condition with a minimally invasive approach (on the first office visit) and with a intact Plan B in the event the injury did not respond to treatment. I recently had the pleasure of being a patient for Dr. Matthew Robon and I have to say my expectation were exceeded. I broke my thumb in a motorcycle accident 7 months before seeing Dr. Robon because my family doctor wasnt able to see the small fracture. It felt like I pulled a ligament and was a little sore. After naively thinking time would eventually heal it, I made a trip to Dr. Robons office and he was able to tell me right away there was a fracture and I was experiencing a malunion of the two pieces of bone which had healed improperly. I just wish I had visited Dr. Robon sooner. He is very smart and passionate about what he does and you can tell from the very first 5 minutes of meeting with him. I felt very comfortable and informed about my exact situation and the options that I had. Matt Robon is a kind and compassionate doctor and a wonderful man. He always took the time I needed for every appointment I had with him, I never felt like he was in a hurry to get me out the door. He was always open with me and gave me all the information he could. Dr. Robon did three surgeries for me, two on my hands and one on my shoulder, he offered to send me to another Dr. for my shoulder but I trusted him to do the job and he did a very good job. My hands are back to normal with no pain and all my strength back. My shoulder turned out very well. All in all I had a excellent experience with all of the staff and Dr. Robon I am so very glad I went to him. If I would have stayed home for my treatment, I would not have received any where near the quality of treatment that I received from everyone there. My sister is also going to Dr. Robon for treatment and she is as impressed with him as I am. I would recommend Dr. Robon to all my friends. I had fractured my 4th & 5th metacarpal in my dominate hand; Dr Robon fit me into his busy schedule and advised me that typically plates and screws would be used to correct such extreme displacement of the fractures, but that he had confidence in utilizing pins which would be less invasive in addition to having the advantage of having the pins removed after the healing process. Through-out the injury and recovery The Proliance Orthopaedic staff were very friendly, treating me with respect and professionalism. Broke my hand (5th metacarpal) playing bball with some Seattle Seahawks. It was broken-broken! I'm back to playing and hand is feeling great...and I have a knuckle again! I have full range and strength back as well. Dr. Robon is not only a great surgeon but also very genuine, friendly, and creates a comfort level and trust by being thorough in his evaluation. I broke my left hand (third metacarpal) at work. Dr. Robon and his staff got me in for diagnosis quickly and made special arrangements to get me in for surgery the FOLLOWING DAY! The break was set from the outside using pins---and the outcome was all I could have hoped for--without having to go thru TWO surgeries to set the break with screws and plates and then go back in to remove them. He provided excellent information and his suggestion of trying physical therapy for a few months before resorting to surgery turned out to be the best course of action. I have been a patient of Dr. Robon for the last two and a half years. Through my work related injury he was an amazing support system. He answered all and any questions in a prompt and kind way. I came to Dr. Robon with chronic carpal tunnel syndrome. I am very pleased with how Dr. Robon handled my condition. I had the release surgery done six weeks ago, and my hand/wrist feels amazing! I have been in Dr.Robon's care for over 2 years with 4 surgeries on both hands. Dr.Robon always made me feel he understood my pain and never made me feel that I might be over reacting. He even called me personally at home after surgery to make sure I was O.K. and gave me his personal number in the case I would have questions. I always felt safe during surgery and his staff was really great with making me comfortable before and after. Dr Robon and all of his staff did an excellent job with my five year old son when he broke his arm. He made him feel comfortable and at ease by addressing him directly and treating him like a little adult. A bit later I broke my arm mountain biking and got to use Dr Robon as well. I saw Dr Robon (he actually likes to be called "Matt") because of severe pain in my thumb joints. My thumbs looked and felt out of joint. After x-rays he diagnosed the problem immediately and explained my treatment options. Because of his open and totally approachable manner I fully understood these options. I decided on surgery. The entire surgical team was competent, friendly and made the experience non-threatening. After surgery I was called by the staff to check on my progress and, surprisingly Matt was available to speak to about medication questions. I am almost 4 months post surgery and am doing really well. I plan to have the other hand surgically repaired in the near future and wouldn't consider letting anyone else perform the procedure. If you end up in the ER with your hand looking like hamburger because you ran it through a table saw Dr. Matthew Robon is the Doctor you want working on you. When I was in the ER he came in on his off time after the ER Doctor asked him to take a look at my hand. This is a compassionate doctor, a highly competent Doctor, and a consummate professional. When he came to see me in the ER he assessed my situation and laid out the situation pros and cons in a calm honest balance manner. He explained my options and their risks and possible out comes. He talked to me not at me like I was a part of his family. I went into surgery confident in my Doctor. My recovery has be extra ordinary and the results have exceeded everybody's initial expectations. It will be many months to full recovery but I have my hand and fingers and I'm getting better everyday. So yes, I think my Doctor walks on water. I had excruciating pain in my left thumb for 5 years. Dr. Robon knew just what to do. He performed basal joint surgery 3 months ago, and now my entire left hand works as well as my right hand without any pain!
