Dr. Scott is one of the best. I'm a retired Fellow of the American College of Surgeons so I know a 5-star when I see one. He's youthful, energetic, personable and superbly well trained. My total knee operation with the Smith and Nephew Journey 2 prosthesis gave me an excellent result. At 12 weeks, I can swim 2000 yds, bike 5 miles, walk two miles, and lift weights in the gym. I was very nervous about having my hip replaced, but Dr. Trevor Scott and all the staff at Proliance were very kind, patient and encouraged me with proper knowledge on the procedure, along with cheerleading when I needed it. I am a natural redhead and require quite a bit of anesthesia to knock me out; I also struggle HARD to wake up afterwards. Everyone at Proliance were quick to reschedule my procedure in a hospital instead of the clinic to make sure I could recover without pressure to be out in 4-6 hours. They worked with my insurance and never once made me feel like an inconvenience. I live with my 81 year old father who couldn’t help me physically move around for the first 24 hours, so Proliance again went above and beyond to work with my insurance to keep me over night at Overlake Hospital to make sure I was safe while navigating that first 24 hours. I picked Proliance and specifically Dr Trevor Scott, because he replaced my father’s hip and was wonderful! It went so well, I was concerned about my second one because there was no way it could go as well as the first one. And it didn’t; it went better!!! I can’t believe how well my second one went. I had a hip replacement done by Dr. Trevor Scott about six months ago. I unequivocally recommend you book your hip replacement with him, as you will certainly not find a more qualified or competent surgeon than he. He's trained at the best institution in the world (the Hospital for Special Surgery), and he has polished his technique by doing many, many surgeries despite being relatively young (which means his training was in the most state-of-the-art methods.) At age 68, I had little pain and was nearly as active as before only 2 months after surgery. I had a Total Knee Replacement with Dr. Scott 4 days ago. Coming from a family of physicians and being an academic-researcher myself, I search for the TOP physicians for all my medical needs. I am not concerned if they are nice or friendly, but I look for the best. I ask other doctors & nurses and carefully look at publications & training. So, it was easy to conclude that Dr. Scott was the right surgeon for Knee Replacement in WA and maybe in the West Coast.My surgery was 4 days ago and I am going up and down the stairs and amazed as to what I am able to do. No walker or cane. I am barely bruised, which is evidence of Dr. Scott's fine-skills (there was not too much manipulation during surgery). Of course, this is a BIG surgery, and there is pain and swelling, but I only need a small amount of narcotics at night, which is a huge deal. I would not wish my injury upon anyone, but if by chance you need an Orthopedic Surgeon who specializes in Hip care, Dr Trevor Scott is your guy! His bedside manner is very patient, calm and cool. He never seems rushed despite a busy load, and took more than enough time speaking to us and communicating throughout our care. This alone, and his professional demeanor and calming presence is why he’s your guy. Spent a long weekend between ER and the OR, but Dr Scott was part of my care team throughout and I would not want anyone else but him to be my provider! He worked so hard through a busy holiday weekend and OR cases, but stopped to see me often and patiently explained options, outcomes, and even provided the help and care I needed for the many other injuries. My surgery was a complete success, excellently done, and with no complications for a total hip replacement arthroscopy procedure. I literally am better than before my accident. Dr. Scott, Proliance Surgery in Issaquah, diagnosed my 62 yr old wife with a rare femur/hip disorder, AVN/avascular necrosis aka osteonecrosis, a delayed side effect from heavy steroid treatment while she was a stage 4 lung cancer patient, now in her 3rd year of remission. 2.5 months ago he performed an urgent/necessary THR, total hip replacement surgery, with a follow up surgery for her other less severe hip in a few months. She was up walking with a walker a mere 10 hours after surgery with a huge smile and almost no pain. She used a cane for less than a week (no walker) and was then walking on her own with very little pain or discomfort. She has felt great for the last 8 weeks. The follow up physical therapy at Proliance was excellent and very helpful! I spent considerable time researching Dr. Scott's background before choosing him to treat her. His academics are impeccable; Williams College, biology major-Magna Cum Laude, top tier Columbia Medical School, UCLA internship/residency and fellowship at Hospital for Special Surgery, New York, voted top orthopedic surgical hospital in the US, ten years in a row! His youthful personality/bedside manner equally match his splendid surgical skills. Having the surgery performed at the wonderful Swedish hospital in Issaquah was perfect. Six days ago I had total hip replacement. Today I’m walking unassisted in the house and with a cane outside. I have no pain, only a little muscle soreness.
