Dr. Sheehan is very friendly and approachable. I wanted to say hello to a fellow doctor who had been a friend of my daughter. They played together as young children. She is also a doctor, a pediatric cardiologist practicing in Chicago. It was wonderful that Dr. Sheehan had Dr. McInness step into my exam room to say hello. It made my day!! Dr. Currier is wonderful! I’ve seen her for years, and she’s always extremely patient and willing to answer my 10,000 questions! Recently, I was diagnosed with something very rare; she did research before I came in, in order to be able to answer my questions about it, which I greatly appreciated. She’s always very professional, clearly knowledgeable, and what she doesn’t know, she takes pleasure in researching; simultaneously, she’s approachable, warm, has the ability to reassure, and truly cares about her patients’ wellbeing. This is a rare combination to come by in medicine these days, and I can’t thank Dr. Currier enough for being one of the good ones that I can trust!

Kristy was wonderful. She really made me feel cared for and that she had my health at the forefront of her mind the entire time. She kept me updated on everything that was going on and asked me for approval and we decided together what was the best course of action for my situation. She has a pleasant bedside manner. The ER was very full and I was put in the hallway because there were no rooms, but she made sure that I felt cared for and expedited the tests and treatment so that I would not have to sit in the hallway long. The very first thing she did was make me feel comfortable. She looked me directly in the eyes when speaking to me and touched my hand/arm while she talked with me. Lovely woman. She is definitely walking in her calling. I am super grateful she was my provider that day.

Doesn't simply rely on the test results but asks questions to aid in her evaluation. She stays on top of research, new techniques and products. Kind too. Thought I had something in my right eye after driving my lawn mower under an overhanging branc. Walked in with no appointment and they were able to fit me in that afternoon! Staff were very friendly and very thorough before I actually saw Dr. McGinnis. Turned out that I had scratched the surface of my right eye and was prescribed an antibiotic salve to help it heal. Dr. McGinnis was friendly and thorough also. Would be happy if I ever needed emergency care again!

Really liked Dr. Sheehan's ability to listen to what my issues were and to have a detailed discussion of the many options to correct my vision. He didn't push for surgery right away. We had a methodical discussion about the pro's and con's of each avenue (glasses, contacts, surgery on one eye, surgery on both eyes) We came up with a plan to try glasses first as the least invasive and complicated, see how those work and go from there. Positive experience!

I've been a patient and known the office since about 1973 when it was a one doctor office which soon doubled in size to two. Dr. Patricia Cosgrove is the third person to lead and expand the practice. (For about 20 years I also had my office in the now old Bozeman Medical Arts Center.) The new building and systems which she and associates have created is, in my view, outstanding and likely the best in the region.

I was having severe eye irritation to the point where my eyes were almost swollen shut. I had seen three or four other doctors who could not determine the underlying issue or address the problem. This place is thorough. I moved to Montana in June and have had to find doctors . So far I have felt totally pleased with the quality of care I have received. My doctor referred me here when I told her of some blurred vision in my right eye. I was informed that it was due to some spotting on the lens put in after my cataract surgery which occurs after a time and that a five minute laser treatment can fix it. . I have gained a big relief. Dr. Herrygers was amazing! I’ve been having severe dry eye syndrome which my regular optometrist has been treating, although it was not getting much better. I thought it was something more. After she examined my eye, she agreed with his diagnosis, but decided on a more aggressive treatment. It already feels so much better! She was so nice and friendly, made me feel comfortable. Dr Sheehan is the best ophthalmologist I have ever seen. He has taken care of my eyes since 2020. Including cataract surgery, diagnosis of diabetic retinopathy, and Avastin eye injections. I had a fear of needles from some childhood trauma with injectios and his kindness and compassion has made it possible for me to have injections in my eye. My diabetic retinopathy is under control I haven’t needed an injection in a year and on my visit last week he said my eyes are doing so well that he doesn’t need to see me for another year unless I have a problem. My husband sees him for a different retinal problem he has and we have referred friends and relatives to him frequently for care and they all agree he is fantastic Thanks so much Dr Sheehan

I loved the comfort level that Dr. Harberts provided, her "no nonsense" approach with a delightful blend of humor. I thought I would have a longer visit with her, but I never felt rushed and I felt like she listened to me, heard me, and cared. Dr. Cosgrove is absolutely spectacular in every way, from professional excellence to personal interaction. I have been a patient of hers for about 15 years now, and have had a whole slew of difficult problems arise, and she has solved them all. I have had pretty severe glaucoma in both eyes, but she has now managed that perfectly well, through a variety of treatments as the severity increased, including drops, laser surgery and stent insertion. No vision loss whatsoever now! And she just did 2 perfect cataract procedures, again with no complications. Perfect vision again!!! Dr. Cosgrove is a real problem solver, and has "golden hands" as well as a golden personality.

They got me in with a last minute cancellation as I had eye pain and also needed an exam.Thought I had another eye infection and was worried about the weekend (I am a baby with eye pain). I should start by saying that I did not want eye surgery. I thought it was too risky. But, I have Horner’s Syndrome in one eye from a stroke 12-years ago and it makes that eye really tired all the time. I was ready to just wear a patch over it. Dr. Currie insisted I see Dr. Watkins to discuss surgical options. I was really impressed with all of Dr. Watkins staff, the testing they put me through and the time she took to walk/talk me through my surgical options. I left excited at the possibility I could get some relief. I am now a week out from surgery, saw Dr. Watkins yesterday to get my stitches out, and am already feeling so much relief from the constant strain on that eye. Dr. Watkins is a kind, competent professional who will take all the time you need to ask questions and understand what you will be going through. I cannot recommend her enough!

In the years (18) I have been Dr. Moeller's patient, the care and treatment has been completely professional every time. From the office staff, the technicians, and facilities to the doctor's diagnoses, recommendations, referrals and treatment the service has been just outstanding. This last visit (12/15/'23) at the temporary Belgrade facility was a perfect example. Cole, Kristi's technician was totally focused on my issue, took care to provide the doctor with a thorough high-tech imaging of my retina, and did so with great candor and professional aplomb. Dr. Moeller then went ahead, after careful analysis of the problem, and offered an optional (although recommended) procedure. That rather delicate (and somewhat anxious - on my part) procedure was completely painless and effective. She (& Cole) are complete Pro's!

Went in for eye exam at the Belgrade office. First meeting with Dr. Herrygers went fantastic. She is very thorough. Explains in detail what my problem was (cataracts both eyes & glaucoma 1 eye). Next appt was at Bozeman office. Did total screening & measurements for surgery. Staff were all in good spirts, very helpful, knowledgeable & friendly. All of my appts were timely; only waited 3-5 minutes at most. Dr. Herrygers explained to me in detail the procedure in full for cataract surgeries. I felt very comfortable with her doing the surgery & results afterwards I was even more delighted. Now I can see perfectly, I can drive at night – very happy!

Dr. Moeller's met me for an emergency call on a Saturday. I had two retinal tears that she repaired in the office that day. The repairs were an urgent priority since they can lead to permanent vision damage if left unrepaired. Dr. Cosgrove has been a godsend. After the tragic death of my daughter I noticed the loss of vision in my left eye. Dr. Cosgrove diagnosed the problem and immediately sent me to the Moran Eye Institute in Salt Lake City. Dr. Cosgrove took care of all the appointments and arrangements for me. Wow!! These folks are phenomenal!!! I was having blurry vision in one eye that had a cataract removed years earlier. I was due for major back surgery the following week. Not only did they get me in the same day I called but they also fixed my problem the same day!! Evidently you can get a film on the back of your lens which they can laser off. Everyone we encountered at the office was helpful, courteous, knowledgeable, friendly and went above and beyond. Now I will be able to read again after my surgery! I would highly recommend these folks!!

My experiences with Dr. Sheehan over the past 5 years or so have all been very positive. He has always explained things well to me and for the first time I learned just how my eyes are or are not very good. He performed my cataract surgeries, and my sight is better in both eyes. I'm new to needing corrective lenses & couldn't even get eyedrops into my eyes when I first saw Dr Currier, so contacts have been a bit of a struggle. Let's put it this way I went in to have someone take a chunk out of my eye. Lol. I let my eye go just a little too long before I got a metal sliver out of it. I actually thought it was still in there but I was just feeling what is called rust ring at the bottom of my cornea.. anyways her office got me an appointment right away.. Turned out to be... I was recently visiting relatives in Bozeman, Montana and woke up one morning and noticed something was not right in my eye. Dr. Herrygers is a superior doctor. She is straight forward in explaining what the procedure is supposed to achieve and what is required of the patient for the procedure to have optimum results. She discusses the benefits and possible short coming of the procedure in an understanding manner and answers any questions fully. The Medical Eye Specialists support staff is top notch and courteous. I highly recommend Medical Eye Specialists for any concerns relating to your eye.

Kristy Moeller is a highly competent, caring MD. I trust her with something very valuable--my eyes (I am an academic that reads all the time.) Kristy is also empathetic. She has a nice sense of humor and a nice way of relating to my husband and me. I think you call this a "good bedside manner." I have highly recommended her to others and will continue to do so.

Dr. Watkins always provides professional, friendly care and guidance for my husband (Richard) and me. She explains the tests performed and results to help us preserve our vision (both of us are 74). Dr. Watkins always listens to concerns and helps us understand what to expect over time. We trust her with our eyes, we appreciate Dr. Watkins ability to respond well to our sense of humor...hopefully she will be our ophthamologist till we don't require one!

I like coming to Medical Eye Specialists because there is little to no wait time. The technicians are patient, kind and thorough. Dr. Harberts is very easy to talk to. She answered my questions at my 1 month lense replacement surgery appointment and and knew how to address my eye problems. I was referred to her to fit a specialized contact lens for my condition. She took all the measurements meticulously and repeated steps to be sure the result was accurate. She had me return several times to check that the results were good and make fine adjustments. The result is the best vision I have ever had.

Dr Sheehan is very knowledgeable and explained everything about my eye and upcoming surgery, so I could understand exactly what would be done. I trusted Dr Sheehan completely and never felt the surgery would be less than perfect. I had a corneal transplant and cataract removed. The surgery is a complete success. Dr. Harberts is a very professional, thorough, and caring individual. She has always taken the time to ensure my eye care is complete in every aspect. She takes the time to explain what is happening to my eyes and what solutions would be available to ensure me having good sight. My eyes were extremely difficult to manage over the years before my wife and I moved to Montana. Since Dr. Harberts has been part of my eye care team she has provided solutions that have allowed me to have the vision to enjoy my fly fishing and the other activities that Montana offers. This was an excellent medical office experience... from the front desk personnel, to the techs, to Dr Sheehan, every single part of the experience was professional, courteous, and friendly. I was seen on time for my appointment, which is always a good indicator of a well run office! The desk personnel (Jay, i think) addressed me immediately and informed me of the process. When Grant, the nurse/PA/tech (sorry, he told me, I just don't remember!) escorted me for my examination he explained each step in the process, and Dr. Sheehan was caring and comprehensive in his examination. He explained everything and answered every question I had about my eye health. I left feeling confident in the information and feeling like a valued patient - and as an older, somewhat 'zaftig' woman, I am often unseen and invisible. I thank Dr. Sheehan and his staff for making me feel welcome! Highly recommended!!!

I have been patient of Dr Moeller for 9 years. Initially for eye exams, and recently for cataract surgery. I had severe astigmatism and have worn glasses for 65 years. I'm 70, really, really lousy eyes since birth. Dr. McInnis is doing the cataract surgery. At this writing one eye has been done, yesterday. Here's what you should know: (1) He and others at his practice return calls promptly, answer questions thoroughly, explains carefully. I was impressed by both him and Medical Eye Specialists well before the surgery date -- a friendly, competent bunch that offered just the help needed to decide which lenses to get and more. 2. The surgery went flawlessly. Zero pain, quick. Better than even my high hopes. 3. Progress is amazing: Day 2, great vision, great post-op follow-up, huge correction, the largest that one of the opticians next door said he'd seen in his 15 years of work. It's really sort of amazing: besides the cataract in that eye gone, so is the huge stigmatism. I'm looking forward to next week's second eye work. So far, the entire experience could not have gone better. I could not be more impressed...and this is pretty important stuff.

Dr. Joseph Sheehan is both extremely competent and caring. I am an RN and have been around the block, especially when it comes to my eyes. He answered all my questions, and addressed my concerns one at a time. He gave me my vision back. Literally. I had cataract surgery in both eyes, and have a very complicated history that includes two detached retinas. I have no doubt my eyes are healed. My vision is the best it has ever been as an adult. I would recommend Medical Eye Specialists, hands down.

I choose Dr. Sheehan with Medical Eye Specialists to perform my Lasik eye surgery after going in for a free consultation. Dr. Sheehan and the staff at Medical Eye Specialists treated me very well from the beginning. They did not pressure me into the surgery at all. They performed several tests repeatedly to ensure I was a good candidate for the procedure and laid out all the risks and benefits of each type of Lasik surgery. Setting up the tests and the final procedure was a piece of cake and the post-op care was excellent! They treated me with dignity and respect throughout the whole process, and a year later I can still say I am grateful to Dr. Sheehan and everyone at Medical Eye Specialists! The procedure went well and I recovered 100% without any ill-effects. I would highly recommend them if you're thinking about Lasik or even if you are just in need of a great eye doctor!

Dr. Sheehan treated my corneal ulcer with care, professionalism, and kindness. He explained everything clearly and always encouraged questions. He was even able to help me get an emergency refill after hours through the on call physician. The scar left on my eye is minimal, and my regular optomoligist has mentioned multiple times how well it was treated. Definitely recommend Dr. Sheehan! March, 2017

Dr. Moeller has experience as a National Institutes of Health scientist. I was impressed by her knowledge of academic studies regarding nutritional supplements for eye health and efficacy of treatments for my dry eye syndrome. She was personable and took the time to carefully listen to me.
