Dr. Hecht is the #1 otolaryngologist. My ear was torn off after getting hit by a car in a 14th St Fairhaven crosswalk. The BPD doesn't care but Dr. Heck sure does. He stitched the ear back on and got it working as good as possible. He's an all-around good guy.

Dr. Stackhouse has been my ENT for over 25 years. He has performed 2 of my four sinus surgeries for what was ultimately diagnosed as AERD - an immune disorder. I can recommend him and the professionals at Bellingham ENT without hesitation. Due to Dr. Stackhouse's diligent care, I ultimately received a diagnosis from an immunologist, and the appropriate medical care has been life-changing. He continues to provide follow-up care as needed, and I am so fortunate he is a part of my medical team.

Someone who has knowledge, experience, expertise in the field, and an empathetic approach that immediately makes you feel comfortable. He sees you. He listens to you.If there’s other information to know, besides the specifics of a question that he might be asked, he will often contribute extra information that he thinks would be helpful to you. So he thinks outside the box and contributes to your healthcare accordingly. I can’t recommend him enough he’s really fabulous!

Dr. Olson performed a septoplasty and double turbinate reduction on me. I went from hardly being able to breath, horrible sleep, and chronic headaches/migraines to walking around feeling amazed every day that I have two giant wind tunnels in my face. In this day and age, it is difficult to find doctors who have/take the time to explain things and answer questions, but Dr. Stackhouse was great at both. He helped me understand the results of my test, took the time to answer my questions, and advised me on next steps. I have been to Bellingham ENT three times over the last dozen years. The last two visits were with Dr. Stackhouse. He is very attentive to my reason for being there and what has happened from inception to present time with the visit. Then his process of exploring with various equipment to find out any conditions or signs of possible causes for symptoms. After his listening and exploratory exam he will the engage in what he thinks might be a single or several causes and offers one or several solutions as together we map out a Plan A. He gives a complete diagnosis and will be with me going through plan A before offers a prognosis or WE move to a second Plan (B). He is easy to talk with and answers all my questions/concerns. I have chronic issues with my sinuses due to a botched surgery 40 years ago that left me "a sinus cripple" according to one doctor. Dr Knops listens carefully and investigates each issue as if for the first time. His office is equipped with a mini CT scanner designed specifically for ENT so he can see immediately what's going on and treat me right there in the office on the same day rather than have me schedule a procedure that might take weeks to book elsewhere. Dr Verneuil has an extremely nice personality in relating to his patients. He clearly explained my situation and possible solutions which may eliminate a need for a hearing aid. When asked about hearing aid companies, he did mention the company he is associated with, but never tried to push me to go there. Dr. Snow did a careful analysis of my hearing tests and clearly explained my options for hearing aids. Dr Verneuil has been giving me Botox injections for a voice tremor for the past 6 years. He is compassionate and does his work skillfully and with care. He constantly checks to make sure I'm comfortable during the procedure. He NEVER keeps me waiting, which is not the case in many offices. He patiently answers medical questions that don't pertain to my visit. He is a 6 star doctor in my opinion but I was only offered 5 to credit him with.

My visit this week with Dr Stackhouse at Bellingham Ear Nose & Throat was a rewarding experience. Everybody was on time and knew what they were doing from the receptionist Jana to the nurse Leslie. My wait in the examination room was also short. Dr Stackhouse took his time explaining in details my condition and what his plan for my care would be. Dr. Lichtenberger, is an excellent ENT and excellent Plastic Surgeon. He is kind, professional & possess excellent skills. I had sinus issues my whole life (& I am now a senior, in age). I qualified for and he performed sinus surgery on me & trained & encouraged me to use (regularly) the simple procedure of sinus rinses. It changed my life. I used to need antibiotics regularly to control my sinus infections. However, since the sinus surgery & the regular use of sinus rinses, I have not used antibiotics for my sinuses for over 8 years. Impressive. As to Plastic Surgery, he takes care of all needs pertaining to the face (surgical, if needed or maintenance). He focuses on enhancing what one needs to help them look & feel refreshed. After a visit, consultation and a plan, I leave feeling & knowing I look better. How great is that? I highly recommend Dr.Lichtenberger professionally and thank him for being a kind and caring person.& taking the time so together it’s decided what is best for me. Why? Because in his office like most places… one size does not fit all. We don’t see that kind of caring & attention these days in a society that is a lot about speed & minimal personal interaction… not the case with him. Thank you.

Dr Lichtenberger was amazing. He is very calm, thorough, and knowledgeable. I had a melanoma in situ removed and he was patient and kind with all of my questions (I always have a lot!). Additionally, he has a great sense of humor that I really appreciated during my surgery. His front office receptionist on the aesthetics side is also very kind and easy to work with. She is super knowledgeable and gave me great advice and recommendations about after care. The nurses during my consultations and surgery were great too- easy going, smart, also kind. Everything from scheduling to the care in office was great. Highly recommend Dr Lichtenberger and his team. Don’t recommend getting melanoma- wear sunscreen- but they all made a somewhat scary situation much better!!

I’ve always been able to speak to him easily, and he answered all of my questions as well as calmed my concerns with helpful advice and potential solutions. A very well run office and great staff!

Dr. Lichtenberger is just wonderful. I saw him for cosmetic procedures after being fearful for a long time. He listens thoroughly and Is very honest, doesn’t try to push any procedures and is also direct yet tactful in telling you when you don’t need a procedure/should pull back a bit. I never once felt sold to, and if anything, felt more appreciative of my natural beauty. I saw Cassie for a long time and she is also incredible at what she does. She never pushes too far, and had my skin in peak condition. I will always appreciate this office’s approach to my care, and in the days of med spas, having a place that I knew wasn’t going to steer me wrong and was going to make me feel like my best self, is invaluable. I really can’t say enough good thing about this place. Also shoutout to Erin, she manages scheduling like a boss, and is always a delight to catch up in the waiting room. Go here. You won’t regret it.

My Bellingham ENT (BENT) patient experience has been excellent. Over the years, I have seen 2 of their sub- specialty physicians. The doctors and staff have consistently exceeded patient expectations. My medical ENT problems were accurately diagnosed and resolved in a compassionate manner. This time I consulted Dr. Verneuil, an expert in laryngology. Dr. Verneuil had read my medical records; carefully and gently examined me; and communicated clearly the best options to normalize my ENT problem. I actually enjoyed my medical visit and my interactions with Dr. Verneuil and his staff. In my opinion, BENT is a patient-centric medical/surgical practice that I trust.

Can’t praise Dr Verneuil enough! He just called me with the results of Imaging I had yesterday. Am so relieved. I have had dysphagia for at least six months & an initial swallowing test suggested a frightening problem. But with Dr Verneuil’s help.. and Dr Witte’s (Gastroenterologist)… I now have a diagnosis and treatment options. And the diagnosis is much more benign than previously thought. Dr Verneuil is knowledgeable, thorough, and explains things well. Office staff were good as well. I highly recommend Dr Verneuil and Bellingham ENT.

Dr Knops has been treating me for thyroid cancer and operated on me yesterday to remove the left side of my thyroid. During the operation he saw that the cancer had also reached the nerve behind and was able to remove the cancer, cutting and reattaching the nerve. He is a wonderful doctor reassuring me before the surgery and checking on me immediately after and calling after i returned home. He kept my husband informed throughout and we look forward to meeting with him to discuss our next steps. He encourages us to ask questions and most kind. I had an excellent experience at Bellingham ENT. I was impressed with all the staff from being greeted warmly in reception to the personnel working in the back office. Gretchen, the audiologist, I worked with was excellent. Dr. Verneuil took all the time necessary to fully explain the audiologist’s findings and offer me some great advice. I was most impressed with this office, and for that reason I will be seeking hearing aids from the Hearing Health Clinic that is part of this office.

Well, Dr. Stackhouse was an excellent practitioner for my issue. He was calmly efficient during the procedure, but was somehow able to carry on with a conventional conversation throughout. “Bedside manner” isn’t terribly important to me if I think the practitioner is technically gifted, but it’s great to have physicians who obviously know what they’re doing and who can relate well while completing the procedure. Very good.

Dr Hecht, is 5 star for sure. I went in with a question about my throat. When he walked into the exam room he had already reviewed the CT scan and ultrasound of my thyroid.He then explained what various out comes I could expect depending upon the results of a needed test. He sat right there and wrote the order for the test.What's amazing is, I'm now schedule for the needed test when I was told by others I would have to wait 6 months to even find someone to talk to about my problem.I'm going to add that not having to wait in suspense for 6 months to find out if I have a problem, has releived my anxiety level a lot.Ken Williams

Dr. Knops helped calm me and over a 2 week period of time - and many return visits - my nosebleeds were fixed. This visit was to repair new issues. He's just the greatest. Additionally - Dr. Knops would be great for scared kiddos - he calmed a scared adult!

I really appreciate that Dr Hecht’s detailed information about my condition and my options. I think when most people go to a new physician, we all suffer a bit of anxiety. We came in for post op strips removal. I came with my husband to his apartment. At that time it was third day that I had bad ear ache and swelling, running fever. I asked him to look at my ear and he did even I didn’t have appointment scheduled. He prescribed medication and says to come for follow up. That day fell better!!!! Thank you Dr. Stackhouse.

I had a great experience working with Dr. Verneuil. He patiently explains, from the beginning and using some handouts and posters, what the problem is and various ways of dealing with it. The visit isn't rushed as he answers all your questions and shows that he is interested in what he does and in you and your concerns. There is no pressure to do certain procedures. Special Thanks to Dr. Knops and his amazing team. My son had the most severe nosebleed and we made few visits. They always took us in for in any last min due to his situation. Dr. Knops recently performed an adenoids removal for my son, the preparation, the process was smooth and he kept us informed as much as he could as he understands our worries about the surgery. He always answer everything thoroughly, and he is very friendly to young children, as my son do not like any clinic visits, but he likes Dr. Knops and name him 'the funny doctor'. :)

My husband's primary recommended Dr Hecht for his rather serious ear infection last year just prior to the pandemic. We were both SO impressed with Dr Hecht on ALL levels, when my immunologist recommended I see an ENT for some scary swallowing issues I immediately knew Dr Hecht was who I could trust! While the office is very welcoming, clean and safe, what continues to stand out for us is the high standard of care and compassion. Alice at the front desk continues to go above and beyond EVERY TIME! Such palpable kindness immediately relaxed my anxiety! Dr Hecht was once again as generously informative, gently thorough and extremely supportive in his nourishing attention to detail as my husband and I remembered. I feel he not only knowledgeably answered all my concerns, but also took the time and effort to discuss my underlying symptoms and share nourishingly thoughtful options I might consider. I was so impressed with Dr. Verneuil. He respected me as an individual with a brain, and he made sure I really understood the physiology of the issue I was experiencing as well as the treatment options available. I was not rushed in and out, and I felt that he gave me lots of time to ask all my questions. I've been reading some of the negative reviews and I simply can't imagine that they saw the same doctor that I did! And I am FUSSY, and I get really pissy when I feel that I am not being listened to or treated with respect. I have a second visit with him and I am so happy that I have found a doctor I can trust to handle the problem. I give him a million stars!

Dr. Knops performed my hemithyrodectomy just two weeks ago, and I am extremely pleased with the outcome. He is a wonderful, experienced surgeon and a very kind person. From the beginning, I felt comfortable discussing my condition with him. I never felt rushed or pressured. We discussed all of my options in detail, and I am so glad I decided to have the surgery performed by him. On the day of surgery, Dr. Knops greeted me with a smile and gave me positive reassurance that everything would go smoothly. My experience was excellent. I went in with a number of confusing symptoms including congestion and trouble breathing clearly, along with a dry cough and some wheezing, sleep apnea and some hearing concerns. Dr. Hecht asked a lot of questions, listened well and was gentle in his examination. He clearly cares about his patients and he helped me sort this all out with treatment where surgery is only a last option. I have referred a friend to him who has congested breathing also.

I really wish Dr. Hecht was a primary care doctor, It's really hard to find a sweet caring doctor and he is one of the few. He took the time to ask his wife(who is a dermatologist) about something he doesn't even normally treat, and he treated it better then the doctor I struggle with, with every visit. I haven't seen him in over a year now but I think about him alot and how I wish I could see him regularly for basic care. We need more doctors like him, I've never found myself missing a doctor before.

I had Vertigo for about 35 years, doctors were always treating my condition with pills. I decided to go to the clinic, first I took a hearing test to rule out different problems, when Dr. Avram checked my ears and did another test. From the front desk staff, to the nurses and doctors, you would be hard pressed to find a more kind and professional team. I had my tonsils removed only two days ago, and they did a fantastic job of making me comfortable and showing me that they care about my well being. Dr. Stackhouse performed two thyroid cancer surgeries on me. We found him to be very caring and answered all of our questions. The surgeries were very involved and many lymph nodes were also removed. He was very thorough and is following up during recovery. He also gave us his cell phone number if we needed to speak to him outside of office hours. I was surprised to read some negative comments from patients. In our opinion Dr. Stackhouse is truly a rock star.

I have experienced a hearing loss for many years. I feel very fortunate to have been working with Hearing Health Clinic. Libbie Shell is very educated and has a great understanding of hearing loss. Recently I purchased new hearing aids and realize the importance of explaining to Libbie what I am experiencing and the great feature of being able to program my hearing aids to best assist my hearing loss. Bellingham ENT is a top notch facility with great staff. Dr Knops performed surgery on my son several years ago and recently on me for a deviated septum and severe sinus trouble. Everything went smoothly and my surgery was a complete success. I now breath much better and am getting sleep like I haven't had in years.The staff is very friendly and professional and nurses are great. My daughter Sequoia is in her first term at WWU. She was so sick with a tonsil abscess, couldn't swollow, had severe ear pain, had been to the school health clinic 6 times and had a two week wait for ENT. I had, what turned out to be a minor ear issue, but at the time of seeking care I was anxious for a solution. I called Dr. Olson's office and they fit me in that day for an initial exam and the following day for a hearing test. I had answers in less than 24 hours. After visiting our primary Providence care physician who was unable to solve an impacted cerumen removal in one ear after 40 minutes and a whopping fee of $365, we opted to call Bellingham ENT. Met with Dr. Olson who had the issue resolved in under 2 minutes and without liquids but rather suction, safer and better. In addition a printed suggestion on how to keep cerumen levels down and total bill $185 vs. $365. All I can say is I wish I went here first and I will gladly return again. Thank you to the kind staff also and Dr. Olson.

Dr Stackhouse is the most amazing doctor that I have ever had. In 2009 I was diagnosed with a tonsil cancer. He was compassionate and patient with me in my time of need. He did my surgery to remove my cancer and it was pretty tricky but he with his expertise handled it and completely removed the tumor. Many times over the course of treatment and then follow up he was so supportive through my tears and concerns that I had. I recommend him highly.

Saw Dr. Stackhouse for a second opinion concerning a benign perotid tumor. He examined the tumor, analyzed the lab results and discussed the options. I was impressed with his knowledge, communication skills, and experience. I'll add that in my opinion Dr. Stackhouse was more experienced and knowledgeable than the NET specialists I had seen previously in Phoenix. I have scheduled a surgerical removal of the tumor by Dr. stackhouse in December.

dr verneuil is one of the most caring and well-informed medical professionals I have ever encountered. I have medicare which was never an issue in the care I received. I am a nervous, easily agitated worrier. he addressed and helped me deal with every issue I had. in the surgery room, he personally sought out ways to make sure I was comfortable and at ease. he was attentive to the needs of my family and follow-up care far exceeded my expectations.
